We spotted that place when we were down last weekend and thought we had found the perfect fit. When we got home, I called to get some pricing and found out that they're asking over $2000/month for a 1BR.

That is pretty high. You'd be surprised though what some of these complexes want. There is a new complex out where I live in Clear Lake Houston (which is just south of 'middle of nowhere') and their website say they want something like $1700 a month. Obviously they've confused across the street from from Nasa for River Oaks. I wish them luck. The place that I'm moving to in July charges $1000 a month for a two bedroom (after incentives). It's pretty tough though. If one tries to go much cheaper, well let's just say that it shows very clearly that it's downmarket.

Is there anywhere on continental.com where I can print my account/elite status with the expiration date showing thru 2/11?

I neglected to put my current CO card in my wallet and UA lounge dragons have a box on their computer screen for expiration date & they just insist on filling it in, even though their boarding passes clearly show me as a *G.

I need an answer in 46 minutes if anyone is awake on the other side of the planet.

Hi Box, just checking in now that a busy weekend of packing for the move next weekend is done. We're pretty much set now. There are a few things for me to pack tomorrow, but we're almost there. I'm just ready for the whole ordeal to be over with so we can get settled into enjoying life in Washington DC.

Nice that you'll be there for Memorial Day festivities.^ I often visit at that time.

Typing with goosebumps this morning. Perhaps I was a tad premature turning the heat to the minimum setting:eek:

Poops! Won't work. I'm only there 9am to 3pm. :( What is there to do in MEM on a short layover? Anything easy to get to from the airport?

That's what I thought as well. It's been a week since I called, I should call back and see if they've corrected them yet.

Just like calling the airline, if you don't get the right answer, say "Thanks," hang up, and call back later.

Was the price you were quoted the list price, or the price after whatever specials they're offering were deducted?

Also, if you'd like help finding something, I have a great apartment locator in Houston that doesn't charge anything, and pays you back a portion of his commission to go toward your move-in costs.

We'll actually be gone most of that weekend, and returning from Hawaii that Sunday.
