Yeah, that's more expensive than what we pay in NJ (for a 2BR in a very desirable area), what we are seeing in Downtown lofts and what another complex in the Museum District is asking for a 1BR with a loft space. They look like very nice units, but they don't seem to be priced right at all.

I'd be surprised if they're still asking for that much in a few months. I'd expect them to be forced to correct those prices to the market pretty quickly. On a per square foot, it's a lot more than we're paying for a two bedroom/two bathroom apartment in DC.

Off to bed here.

Mrs. photog72 saw your quote and said, "Good God!" I agree. Too much $ for Houston, even in the Museum District. Have you looked at Camden Travis St? It's one block away from the light rail station. It's next door to Reef, a great restaurant.^

Yes, due to it's proximity to the light rail, that property is a consideration. Of course, the floorplan that would work best for us isn't available but we could make due with some of their other options.

Question for the Hyatt oracles:

I booked a room at the Grand Hyatt, in Washington DC for next Saturday night. I called to ask for a suite upgrade (diamond status, one of my 4/yr).

What can I expect? Do I just get two rooms next to each other, or will it be a real suite?

Also, as a diamond, do I get breakfast for all of us (Mr.Brit and my two girls, plus me). Will the concierge lounge be open on a Saturday night? If not,do I get extra points?

I've only stayed at Hyatt Places up until now, so don't know the drill for the full service hotels.

You should take a look at the property index on the Hyatt board. Some of these items probably are addressed there. In my experience, some of these items are fairly property specific.

I have had suites that were adjoining rooms, and I have had others that were true suites. Again, property and availability specific items, I suspect.

Remember, if the lounge turns out to be closed, you are entitled to 2,500 bonus points. Most of the US lounges have an honor bar, light snacks during the day and occasionally a hot dish for happy hour. Breakfast runs the gamut from a fairly full fare (no hot dishes) to some sweet rolls and coffee.

The one item that should be clear is that you all should get breakfast, but that is only available if you are not given the club access or if the club is closed. The breakfast benefit only kicks in if there isn't a club or if the club is full and the Diamond member is not given access.

From Hyatt Diamond T&C's:

Receive exclusive access to the Regency Club or Grand Club lounge featuring complimentary continental breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres. Enjoy daily complimentary full breakfast in hotels without a club lounge2
Have fun! :)

That's what I thought as well. It's been a week since I called, I should call back and see if they've corrected them yet.

Thanks! I also see that they have a G1 promo, too. Must remember to ask them to add that to my account.

Good night box. I had a productive day, and am now making Plus1 watch Titanic. I threatened him earlier with "The Notebook" and "The Way We Were" but did not make good on my promise, which I am certain he is forever greatful:rolleyes:

Greetings from the SQ F lounge in MNL. This airport is such a dump, it's beyond words.

I got nervous about yesterday's MUC closure, so I changed my flugs to connect via FRA instead. Will be losing two new lines because of it, so I'm a bit upset. At least I will get another 744 flight and use the FCT again.

Now to see if I can manage to drink two bottles of 2000 Dom on my SQ flight.
