I gotta write all this down because Mrs. Mackie wants to go. I'm pretty  with the idea because, while I understand that it is beautiful, I get plenty of warmth and humidity here. Why would I want to go somewhere else where it is both warm and humid?
Generally, the south/west sides of the islands are hotter and drier. So, if you want to stay cool, stay on the north side of an island. |

Diane Keaton is in our theater tonight. 1400 women are paying to see her lecture. For those who want to cross Delaware off their states visited list, Craig Ferguson is here October 18th.

Now, Beaker, you forgot the beaker. Get the beaker, Beaker.
In other news, there was a woman arrested for shop-lifting over the weekend whose name was "Customer." Created much unintended fun and confusion on the police radio channel.

All depends on when you go, and where you are on a given island. In February, the hottest days were maybe in the low-80s, and nowhere near as humid as the south/midwest can get. One day, the high temperature peaked out in the upper 60s, and a Kauai local (in a jacket!) apologized to us for how cold it was. I (in shorts) told her it was around +5 in Chicago that day.

If you head up to Waimea Canyon (3,500ft at teh lookout), it's in the upper 70's with a nice breeze that funnels through the canyon.

I grew up on the coast in the south east where the air is as thick as the sausage gravy. Heat and humidity have never bothered me. Honestly don't think I've ever once complained it was too hot. Sub 65 though and I get angry. |
