I just found out that my fiancee watches 7th Heaven. I had no idea of this until right now.

Sorry to keep beating my dead horse of the day, but I guess I hadn't looked at exactly how much it was going to hurt to take the NJT from Princeton Junction-EWR after tomorrow...

$16.25 EACH WAY. And parking is $5/day.

I know that the system costs a lot to keep running regularly and well, and I don't presume to know anything about NJ politics or the history thereof, but I would have thought that a public transit system should offer people some incentive to get OFF the roads, not force them back on them...

New Jersey is not smart enough to make that connection. That @:-) burned out some time ago, and replacement was never put in the budget.

NJT tickets to/from EWR also include the AirTrain fare, don't they, and as a result, are more expensive than other fares of similar distane?

That fare is pretty close to what I always pay to go from EWR to New York Penn. It's still a lot less expensive than driving and paying for parking at the airport.

I just ordered Yankee tickets yesterday :( but now I now for next time .

Hamilton Station to NYP used to run me almost $20 one way. I haven't looked to see how much it has gone up.

Wow. I'm apparently almost dead, I'm so old. I was at a hotel this week in NJ that I realized mid-week, the last time I stayed there was 22 years ago... when I worked at MSKCC and lived in Manhattan.

When did I get this old?

Suddenly I feel less ire toward the $7 per day long term parking at AUS.

Actually, it isn't less expensive than driving and parking. The $32.50 in train fares will get her almost 4 days of parking at ABC ($9/day).

I just blew four of the five attendees in this session away by teaching them how to use tabbed browsing in IE. Apparently only one person in here even knew tabbed browsing existed. After watching one person struggle with trying to find the correct browser window because she had about 25 things open in her Windows taskbar, I figured it was time for a quick lesson in modern Internet browsers, circa 2005.

They were all shocked and awed by this new revelation. I could have done nothing else this week right, but just for this one item I'll get great reviews on my client evaluation this week.

Really Bedazzle them with a Control & T maneuver but only if trained EMS personnel are standing by

There's also the cost of gas and tolls too.

I guess since the majority of the time I'm at EWR, I'm headed into NYC, so it's just never seemed like the fares were all that expensive.
