No, it's atrocious. I think I remember hearing on Upgrd some time ago that some DL people privately admitted that CO.com is the benchmark that they aspire to.

! Am I interpreting the UA chart correctly in that it is less miles to upgrade international flights? It looks like upgrading a Y or B fare from N. America to either N or S Asia is 12,500 miles per one-way, for 25K round trip. I've got 60K CO miles held for waitlisted B-ups roundtrip to HKG...

I know how you feel - for many years my budget mindset was all wrong (or, at least wrong for me) and thus I had a really hard time sticking to it. In the last year or so since I radically overhauled the way I do things, it's worked out quite well and I have made some very good progress.

I am right there with you in lack of knowledge, carsonheim. Never booked anything except simple domestic awards in my life. I definitely plan to enlist mucho help from all the brilliant people in the Box this summer when it comes time for complex-award-booking... :confused:
