! I actually like IAD, although I rarely need to connect there given that I live in DC. Concourse B is very spacious and never overly crowded. Concourses C and D are jokes, but they will be gone in a few years and in the meantime, one may seek refuge in one of the RCCs. Also, the newly-opened Aerotrain has made traversing the airport a lot easier.

Weren't those concourses "temporary" and only "for a few years" back when they were built, 20-25 years ago?

I'll believe a new Concourse C/D complex at IAD when I see it. Not getting my hopes up that it's going to happen anytime soon.

I am looking forward to the new train in a couple of weeks. And it's nice that it will no longer be a connection airport for me.

I'm up too early on a day off. I'm used to getting up around 1030 on my days off, but with the early days this week anything beats 0700.

I have progressed to not making coffee at home - only at work or when on the road now.

Sounds like spam, doesn't it? Anyone here use http://www.restaurant.com? A friend passed along a tip that if you use the code MEAL at checkout, a $25 gift cert comes out to only $2! Some of these places require a minimum of certain $ to be used, but I was  when I saw how much $ the GC saved. I hope this helps out.

The better part is many of the mileage malls provide the option of getting points/miles when purchasing restaurant.com certificates. ;)

! Cost cut? Or do you fund your own office coffeepot?

Ideally, it would be better than the US Clubs in PHX ...

One of my colleagues wants to do the relay across much of the state of Tennessee. Every team member has to do about 16 miles. Did I mention the mountains?

! Yes, C and D at IAD were supposed to be temporary. Turns out that "temporary" meant "20+ years."

! Longest run I have ever completed is two miles. Running is a painful, sadistic, Hobbesian method of burning calories.

WWTBD: LH just opened up F space on IAD-FRA tomorrow. Should I sacrifice the BOS-FRA line and the 346 for the convenience of skipping BOS and US? The IAD-FRA flight arrives only 1.5 hours later than FRA-BOS, but I still have to slog it out to IAD from downtown DC.

This is a tough decision.

! If it is a new line and a new type, I would deal with it.
