! PHX is no prize, but it is Paradise on Earth compared to PHL.

! LAX is fairly poor, but I am especially unimpressed with TBIT, which is a mockery compared to most major Asian and certain European hub airports.

! I actually like IAD, although I rarely need to connect there given that I live in DC. Concourse B is very spacious and never overly crowded. Concourses C and D are jokes, but they will be gone in a few years and in the meantime, one may seek refuge in one of the RCCs. Also, the newly-opened Aerotrain has made traversing the airport a lot easier.

! Have never set foot in it.

! Even the one short-haul that I want to do out of PHL (MHT) is usually an E70.

! The views of the mountains past the runways did much to amuse me during my short stay in that aeropuerto, as did the presence of Cholula for my burger.

! Dispute the charge with your CC company.

! Consider yourself lucky.

! It has the same narrow corridors as the rest of PHL, minimal space to sit by the gates, and lots of displaced passengers. The Philly 'tude is cranked up to 11 there.

! The only saving graces are (1) the US club is nice and (2) security lines are minimal, since most everyone there is connecting.

! I felt more confined walking the concourses in ATL than any time at PHL. ATL feels like the hallways of my high school.

! I'm considering changing my DCA-BOS-FRA US and LH F flights tomorrow to IAD-FRA on UA new F'd to save about four hours of transit time.

! MIA is a nightmare when you are transferring to a different airline.

! No shuttles/trams, etc. We took CO to MIA and connected to an AA flight, and it took us about 30 minutes of jogging to get to the other terminal. :rolleyes:

Is IAD-FRA a 763 or 744? I thought about routing through IAD but at the time it was 777

I also use these. I used them more when I lived in Manhattan and the local bar had $50 off $100 spend including alcohol. 2-3 of us would do that easily.

! The PHX clubs are sub PHL clubs (shocking, I know).
! The layout of PHX is terrible. Try connecting from UA to US (or, eventually CO to US) in PHX and you'll figure out that you need a sherpa. Even inter-US (the airline) connects are :rolleyes: because the terminal is poorly designed.
! CBP is verrrrrrrry slow in PHX.

! I liked IAD when I lived in DC too.

! And yes, I know C and D are on their way out, but it will take a while. And I still can't forgive IAD for the UAEx operation that ran out of the cattle pens for a few years. Whoever thought that was an acceptable solution has the cognitive capacity of a decapitated chicken.

! The other reason I hate IAD is I'm usually connecting to/from NY. Which invariably means a segment on Messy, Messy, MESA. :mad::mad::rolleyes:



! In regards to ATL, with the new runway and the renovation of the concourses, I can deal with it. Back in the late 90's and early 00's it was an absolute mess.

! Can someone help me comprende as to why there is an RCC in PHX? I know it's the hub of a Star partner, but it doesn't seem to me to be a large enough station for UA.
