If I buy a UA ticket, that's the only kind I buy; more specifically, codes that allow me to check heavy, multiple bags :)

An e-mail popped into my inbox this evening from a local ISD looking for a developer. There is no travel but the work sounds interesting.

Nice! I say go for it... Trading travel for a job you might enjoy is certainly worth it.

Do they have any need for a PM? ;)

Quite true.

Although finding a traveling job that you love is pretty close to heaven.

Your employment need not involve travel for you to travel. This may actually free up more opportunities to go places you want to visit, rather than have to visit...

Does anyone want to start taking bets on when KE will release another J seat on the flights I need next year?

True, but work that requires travel also means racking up lots of frequent flier miles and hotel points on somebody else's dime. Which means you can then go places you want to visit in style without having to really pay for it.

I'm awake but then again it's only 10pm on the West Coast.

ssullivan Nov 20, 2008 11:13 pm

Awake here in Texas. But really should be in bed, considering I have a flight in just over seven hours.
