me: my handle is SeeYa (involves hand waving in a by-by motion)
other person: ooooooooh. I see. Aha, I see you!

SeeYa's in first?

it is the stanley keg (and the umbilical cord is hidden)

I wouldn't change mine even if I could.

No, but some people think I've misspelled my FT name.

I probably would have spelled mine correctly.

Yes I regret mine - I'm suddenly worried it can be taken in the context of a duet by Stevie Wonder and Macca.

Absolutely no regrets here. It seems to be noticeable and at times an object of humour which I don't mind.

Having met a few FT'ers in the past year, I do find it interesting that even in personal conversations we will mention other FT'ers who are in the neighbourhood by their handle rather than their given names.

And to Gargoyle even though your handle is pretty good, I think that a better handle would be had trouble with Italian in college but now I'm fluent

No - I'm happy with mine. It is when my husband refers to me as "Pucci Dearest" that I think that things have got somewhat out of control.

Re: Saprtacus.

Whichever of you wishes to be a Slave may apply to me. I'm easily pleased, First Class Travel is just one of the many benefits - the vacancy has occured due to the fact that the last one died of a good beating.

Mine is no longer completely appropriate, because I'm transitioning away from BNA (though I wouldn't want to be LAX_flyer--how generic is that?--or BUR_flyer, which would be the closest major airport), but BNA is where I grew up and have lived for about 30 of my 39 years, in two different stints, so it will remain part of my handle.

I have different handles on each of the several boards that I frequent for different topics, and some are more easily understood than others (I am 7thMan on one college sports board, and no, it's not a hockey reference.).

My favorite handle-I-wish-I'd-thought-of-first is BoyAreMyArmsTired.

I could change my real first name Rudi into my second given name Paul or, as stated in my passport 'Rudi Paul'.

I can't afford to lie or hide myself on different Internet boards behind different akas - as my memory would fail me later and I wouldn't remember
