I named (mamed?) myself after one of the world's worst frequent flyer programmes, which I thought, way back then, was great. It is, however, easy to say and moderately memorable.

I'll keep it ^

No worries, really. Unless people still think that after meeting me. And I totally agree about the movie. The best movie...well Airplane! is right in there too.

No, mine wasn't a mistake. I love the name and the little Mick Inkpen dog that shares it.

No regrets on my name. I bet many others have signed up for FT and found my name was already taken.

I AM WINGLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's easy to say, unlike those that have numbers and such, it seems to be easy for people to remember and it is not linked to any job or location.

I AM WINGLESS!!!!!!! [said with the tone of "I AM SPARTAN!]

Oh yeah sometimes on Flyertalk people call me dude...they think I am a boy..hehehehehe

Nope.

I'll always be wsucougarchick05. Why?

Breakdown of wsucougarchick05's handle:

wsu = Washington State University, where I got my Bachelor's degree.
cougar = WSU's mascot.
chick = I'll always be a girl/chick, no matter what.
05 = the year I graduated from WSU.

So no matter what, I can always use my handle.

So you should about be legal to rent a car now?

When I officiated football in the PAC-10 Pullman was my favorite spot (although often brutal for travel from TUS) and I enjoyed watching Coach Price get excited!

I've been lurking on FlyerTalk a lot longer than I had a handle. I signed up last year using my name as a handle. I was perfectly OK with that, until I realized that the more I'd post about my travels, the less privacy I'd have from anyone browsing the board.

I didn't mind, really, with people knowing where I travel. It's more about modesty and not wanting friends reading about me sitting in business class or first, drinking champagne and debating about the caviar.

I asked (politely) for a handle change under the "one time rule", which the mods were kind enough to grant. I only had a few dozen posts at the time so I didn't lose much history. The current handle is something I picked up a long time ago in college after some friends told me I looked like a character in the movie Breaking Away. I just wish I hadn't waited so long to get a handle...

And BTW, *I* am Spartacus.

Hey, this was exactly what I was going to say!

Except that introductions are often confusing:
other person: Hi, PotentialNewFriendWithUnderstandableHandle
me: Hi, SeeYa.
other person: huh?
me: my hande. It's SeeYa.
other person: What?
me: my handle is SeeYa (involves hand waving in a by-by motion)
other person: ooooooooh. I see. Aha, I see you!

Aside from the fact that my beard is now more white than red?

My birthday won't ever change, though.

I am legal to rent a car now. I was actually legal before I graduated from WSU (I was on the 8 year plan to graduate from college).
