You know you are having a bad day when your bomb fails, you burn your willy, and you get pants in front of 200 people.

Not to discount your point but I'd argue that reinforced cockpits is the more significant safety move. The new Flight 93 rules make for better threads though.

Went to TSA.gov to look for any suggestions/hints/clues/information and left empty handed. So much for 'GO TO THE TSA WEB SITE FOR INFORMATION' before traveling.

The wife is headed to Guam within the next couple days to visit the son and his family. Sure hope that her trip goes well.

Terrorists bank on humiliation to change the hearts and minds of their victims ... so turnabout as fair play? You betcha!

I'd agree, but in the wake of the 2 northwest pilots who strayed for an hour working on their laptops, I'm not sure reinforced cockpits are a good idea!!

As he was spared a pax beat down, just an honorable mention.

You were left empty handed because there has been no official announcement from the TSA. It seems like 'unpredictable' security is the TSA's new security 'layer'.

That might, in the end, be much faster, less intrusive, and more fun. Hope that she doesn't run into any unpleasantness on the part of TSA and the airlines reacting to this mess.

Unpredictable = unreliable = no security

Winging it doesn't work and shows incompetence when used.

It's not necessary to kill oneself, mere self-sterilization will do.

Darwin Awards -- History and Rules

The candidate must remove herself from the gene pool.

The prime tenet of the Darwin Awards is that we are celebrating the self-removal of incompetent genetic material from the human race. Therefore, the potential winner must be deceased, or at least incapable of reproducing. The traditional method is death. However, an occasional rebel opts for sterilization, which allows her more time to enjoy the dubious notoriety of winning a Darwin Award.
