What's the difference between the Ink Bold & Ink Plus cards?
Ink Bold is no longer available. It was a charge card (pay balance in full each month), but it has been discontinued and many accounts were converted to Ink Plus cards with the same account numbers.

Ink Plus is a revolving credit card. It allows you to earn and redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points (including transfering UR points to air/hotel/rail partners).
What are the best current Ink Plus offers?

The Ink Plus card is no longer available for new applicants. There is a separate thread for The Ink Business Preferred card.

Links for non-targeted Ink Plus 60K offer ($5,000 spend/3 months; annual $95 fee not waived)
There is a report of a 70k offer for the Chase Ink Plus available only through your local Chase Bank office, extended to August 20, 2016. If you recently accepted the 60K offer, you may be able to get the extra 10K simply by asking for it.

There is a no-fee, UR-earning Ink Cash card: https://creditcards.chase.com/ink-bu.../ink-cash-card

Are there special earning categories?
Yes. You earn 5 points per dollar on the first $50,000 spent annually at office supply stores, and on cellular phone, landline, internet, and cable TV services. (Sirius XM Radio also qualifies.)

In addition, you earn 2 points per dollar on the first $50,000 spent annually at gas stations and for hotel accommodations when purchased directly from the hotel.

NOT ALL Ink cards earn the 5x and 2x bonus categories above. Not "Old Ink Bold" that earns 7,500 bonus points for $25,000 spend, 15,000 points for $50,000, and 25,000 points for $100,000 spend.

Where can I find the Ink Plus Guide to Benefits?
What are the rules for transferring UR points to other users or to my own air/hotel/rail accounts?
Closing Ink Plus cards
It is possible to pay the annual fee for the Chase Ink Plus business card, then close the account and get a refund of the fee up to 6 months after it was charged. This provides a total of 18 months of earning up to 5X points for free. Make sure your points are transferred out (either to another UR account owned by you or a spouse, or to an air/hotel partner) before you close the account.

Mine hasn't changed ever since I submitted the "required" documents. This really is a "set it and forget it" type of ordeal. But I'm there with you...the wait is driving me crazy.

Be patient. You, I and a few other guys here are in the same situation. Let's hope you'll receive a mail requesting for more info.

Just to beat the dead horse...so many of us are in this "not approved yet" boat. The credit pull has already been made. Now...if I were to apply for a Chase Hyatt card, would that potentially hurt the chances of being approved for this card (Ink Plus)? Cheers!

And does that apply to...say...applying for a citi premier, prestige, etc.?

I applied for the Ink Cash on 9/26 (I already have the Ink Plus) and got the 30 day message. Today it changed to "your application is being reviewed you will be notified in writing in 7-10 days." Has anyone been approved after that sequence?

Data Point:
My wife applied for Ink Plus on Monday. Got the Pending reply and email. Decided not to call. Just received the approval email this morning...so 3-4 days.
-16 cards opened in the last 24 month (5 Chase, of which 3 are still open)
-Legit S-corp with decent gross sales

I have a Mileage Plus Club Business and a Chase Ink with two different businesses that are small, but legit (I can show 5-10k each in income on IRS returns).

I want the Ink Cash and will keep the Plus. The Club is going one way or another.

Should I
* use one of the existing businesses and request a second card?
* 'Make up' a third Business?
* Or close the Mileage Plus Club in advance and reapply as that business?

I realize no one really knows... I'm just seeking opinions of anyone that has been even close to this situation.

I would do either option #1 or #3. I don't think its ever wise to "make up" a business, I have a small business (30k rev/year) and have 2 Chase business cards for it. I would probably apply using the name of the business that doesn't already have the Plus, although I'm not positive whether or not it would make a difference. I don't think it matters whether or not you close the Mileage Plus Club in advance or not.

Best of luck.

Would anyone share a plan for me to get $5K in gift card spend on this card in shortest amount of time possible?

You can also order VGCs from the Staples website and MS with Redbird/Bluebird/Serve to pay rent or mortgage. Good luck!

Any reports lately of getting UR mall credit for VGC purchases through office supply stores (e.g., the extra 2x for Staples)? I've heard sometimes it credits and sometimes it doesn't -- any rhyme or reason?

Ok. . .I'm confused. This thread is titled "Chase Ink Business Cards". There are other posts besides mine that reference MS on Chase Ink cards. The MS forum is all over the place with ways to MS. If I want to find out things specific to my Chase Bold wouldn't I come to this thread?

If it deals with MS strategy, no.

After a pretty annoying long waiting, a denial letter is coming to me.
I received a letter today asking for 2 recent pay stubs or W2. Will I have prob without faxing the docs? I said more than I make. Will other accts of mine get shut down because of it?

So, has anyone been brave enough to apply for the Chase Ink Plus 60,000 UR offer, even though they have a currently-open Chase Ink Bold?

Here at Flyertalk, topics are heavily consolidated to help make them easier to find. However, this can sometimes cause the threads to detour in various, related directions. The Ink at Office Supply stores is a prime MS option. So, there will be overlap on both forums. If you read both forums regularly, you will follow the major, current themes of discussion.
