What's the difference between the Ink Bold & Ink Plus cards?
Ink Bold is no longer available. It was a charge card (pay balance in full each month), but it has been discontinued and many accounts were converted to Ink Plus cards with the same account numbers.

Ink Plus is a revolving credit card. It allows you to earn and redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points (including transfering UR points to air/hotel/rail partners).
What are the best current Ink Plus offers?

The Ink Plus card is no longer available for new applicants. There is a separate thread for The Ink Business Preferred card.

Links for non-targeted Ink Plus 60K offer ($5,000 spend/3 months; annual $95 fee not waived)
There is a report of a 70k offer for the Chase Ink Plus available only through your local Chase Bank office, extended to August 20, 2016. If you recently accepted the 60K offer, you may be able to get the extra 10K simply by asking for it.

There is a no-fee, UR-earning Ink Cash card: https://creditcards.chase.com/ink-bu.../ink-cash-card

After being denied, how long should I wait before applying again for the same card?

Are there special earning categories?
Yes. You earn 5 points per dollar on the first $50,000 spent annually at office supply stores, and on cellular phone, landline, internet, and cable TV services. (Sirius XM Radio also qualifies.)

In addition, you earn 2 points per dollar on the first $50,000 spent annually at gas stations and for hotel accommodations when purchased directly from the hotel.

NOT ALL Ink cards earn the 5x and 2x bonus categories above. Not "Old Ink Bold" that earns 7,500 bonus points for $25,000 spend, 15,000 points for $50,000, and 25,000 points for $100,000 spend.

Where can I find the Ink Plus Guide to Benefits?
What are the rules for transferring UR points to other users or to my own air/hotel/rail accounts?
Closing Ink Plus cards
It is possible to pay the annual fee for the Chase Ink Plus business card, then close the account and get a refund of the fee up to 6 months after it was charged. This provides a total of 18 months of earning up to 5X points for free. Make sure your points are transferred out (either to another UR account owned by you or a spouse, or to an air/hotel partner) before you close the account.

I called the number on the letter and a woman told me they received my documents and one of them was rejected. I then asked her which one it was. She didn't answer but told me that my application was transferred to the lending department and quickly transferred my call to the lending department.
I was afraid that I would be transferred to the "denial center" so I hung up.

Should I call again? Is there any way that I can check my application status without talking to someone? I applied on 9/12.
Lending dept is where the senior credit specialists are.

Since your application is over 30 days ago the system has dropped it as you already KNOW it, that you should also know that without talking to a human being, especially one of your doc is rejected, there is no hope to get approved or even just to find out the status.

Well, I don't know much about omens, but my magic 8 ball says "Probably" so I think you've got a good shot.

In all actuality, it sounds like you have at least one approval but know knows who their supervisor is or what attitude they're in that day. I'd just keep calling the application status line (if that works for reconsideration) and see what happens. Best of luck!

...ouch :-/

Called the fraud department - verified that they got the documents. They said I should be getting a card or denial letter in 1-2 weeks. Here's to hoping...again.

I'm in a similar situation. Had to send in documents (after applying, got 30 day msg, not calling, etc.). Auto line now says 30 day msg again... so waiting on a decision as well. Let's say I'm waiting on my card to arrive (positive talk).

Good luck to you!

Well.
I applied on 9/12 and it took them like 3 weeks to send me the letter asking for more info. The date on the letter is October 2nd or 3rd or something. I called them initially and they told me to mail the documents in, no fax or anything.
=> If the system automatically drops applications after 30 days, this doesn't make sense???
I mailed them in by priority mail. I called them and they told me they just received and processed the documents on 10/21. After that, they transferred my application to the lending department.
=> This is like 1.5 months after I applied. If the system dropped my application, why did they take time to process and transfer my application to another department???
I will call them tomorrow if they're available. If not, I'll call on Monday. I have nothing to lose.
If they deny the application, I'll go to my Private client banker and open a small business checking account. Then wait 6 months and apply again.

@YummyRambutan: Good luck man! I hope you'll be approved!

Success:

Applied 10/10 and went to 7-10 day notice by mail. Turned out they just needed an address confirmation. Approved today for $25.5k line. Business revenues listed under $1k on my app.

bfalcn09 - how long from turning in your address to actually getting approval? And did you check the automated line during that time? If so - what did it say? Thanks!

YummyRambutan - I mailed in the letter on the 17th, and the automated line updated on the 23rd from 7-10 day to notified in writing in 2 weeks. I've been calling everyday and it changed to approved this afternoon.

...somehow I knew... and at the same time... dangit. :-/ oh well. Would it be wise to apply for another chase card before I technically get "declined" by chase?

I'm planning to apply for Chase Ink card. I don't have a legit business but I do sell stuff on occasionally. What should I select in business type and subtype? It's kind of confusing on the page. Thanks for any help.

Quick recap. I've had the Freedom for 2.5 years.

Applied for IHG Rewards card on 9/15 and was approved for $28k CL.

Applied for Ink Cash Plus on 10/14. Received "decline" letter on 10/22 saying (paraphrased) "you just opened an account so we're not going to open another one."

Called recon line on 10/23, spoke with a rep who conditionally approved me for a $5k CL.

From 10/24-10/26 got "We will let you know within 2 weeks" message on app status line.

This morning (10/27) called app status line and got "approved" message.
