What's the difference between the Ink Bold & Ink Plus cards?
Ink Bold is no longer available. It was a charge card (pay balance in full each month), but it has been discontinued and many accounts were converted to Ink Plus cards with the same account numbers.

Ink Plus is a revolving credit card. It allows you to earn and redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points (including transfering UR points to air/hotel/rail partners).
What are the best current Ink Plus offers?

The Ink Plus card is no longer available for new applicants. There is a separate thread for The Ink Business Preferred card.

Links for non-targeted Ink Plus 60K offer ($5,000 spend/3 months; annual $95 fee not waived)
There is a report of a 70k offer for the Chase Ink Plus available only through your local Chase Bank office, extended to August 20, 2016. If you recently accepted the 60K offer, you may be able to get the extra 10K simply by asking for it.

There is a no-fee, UR-earning Ink Cash card: https://creditcards.chase.com/ink-bu.../ink-cash-card

Are there special earning categories?
Yes. You earn 5 points per dollar on the first $50,000 spent annually at office supply stores, and on cellular phone, landline, internet, and cable TV services. (Sirius XM Radio also qualifies.)

In addition, you earn 2 points per dollar on the first $50,000 spent annually at gas stations and for hotel accommodations when purchased directly from the hotel.

NOT ALL Ink cards earn the 5x and 2x bonus categories above. Not "Old Ink Bold" that earns 7,500 bonus points for $25,000 spend, 15,000 points for $50,000, and 25,000 points for $100,000 spend.

Where can I find the Ink Plus Guide to Benefits?
What are the rules for transferring UR points to other users or to my own air/hotel/rail accounts?
Closing Ink Plus cards
It is possible to pay the annual fee for the Chase Ink Plus business card, then close the account and get a refund of the fee up to 6 months after it was charged. This provides a total of 18 months of earning up to 5X points for free. Make sure your points are transferred out (either to another UR account owned by you or a spouse, or to an air/hotel partner) before you close the account.

A followup to my followup...

My Freedom has a $10k CL
My IHG has $28k CL
My IC+ only has $5k CL

When I called the recon line when it looked iffy I offered to lower the CL on the IHG and was told it would not make a difference - that personal and business cards CLs were not connected.

I am going to guess this is not correct....

I would rather have a $28k CL on the IC+ and a $5k CL on the IHG - does anyone know for sure if CL's can be manipulated across business and personal cards? I'm feeling like I need to talk to another rep.

Fwiw, when I applied for the ink cash last spring I was told the same thing when trying to move credit lines around - I wasn't able to lower a personal limit to get approved for a business card. Rep said they're considered separate.

Does anybody know Chase's automated line for status check? I applied for ink and it showed "USPS mail 30 days" message. Just want to check the latest status but doesn't want to speak to a rep.

I know not to call in during this period and speak to anyone there, and I won't, but my God the waiting is a killer

Review it already and let me know so I can move forward

Well, I am bruised and battered but I managed to get this thing approved with a 5k CL

Data points

Late August approved for CSP - SW premier

picked up discover IT - amex blue - hyatt in the meantime

Waited patiently for almost a full month to be rejected for INK + for seeking too much credit (all other qualifications are good).

Called recon yesterday and may have stretched some business facts and after a couple of 3-5 minute hold sessions the most I could get was that he will recommend approval but due to recent credit seeking he has to submit to a manager and I will find out in 24-48 hours

Received the email earlier and called for rush shipping shortly after. This was an ordeal between the wait, the litanny of questions and the additional wait

One newb question - the $50,000 5x resets after my year NOT on Jan 1st, right

Thanks

Is the new Ink "Business Plus" a different product from the previous non-charge Ink? (Was it called the Ink Classic?). If I have the Ink from last year (60K bonus points after 5K spend) and apply for the new Ink Business Plus, can I get the sign on bonus again?

Originally there were four cards:

  • Ink Bold (Annual Fee) Discontinued
  • Ink Plus (Annual Fee)
  • Ink Classic (No Fee) Discontinued
  • Ink Cash (No Fee)

Where do you see a card that seems to be new?

Even if it's not new, I can still get the sign on bonus every 24 months?

Chase Business Card approval in limbo

I recently applied for the Chase Ink w/ the 60k UR point offer. I have a TIN for a business selling apps on Apple's App Stores and collecting some advertising revenue. I haven't had any significant revenue on it lately, but historically have.

I applied for the Ink+ with the TIN + my SSN (755 credit score). The application was inconclusive: the last screen had a phone number asking me to call it, and I received an email telling me I would either receive the card or a denial explanation by mail within 30 days.

What are my chances of getting approved; and should I try calling? I'd hate to have wasted a HP for nothing and to potentially have worse chances in future applications. (For context, I have 2 Chase cards: CSP, UMP; 3 Amex: PRG, Plat, Blue Sky; and 1 BofA card.)

Edit: whoops thought I was in Chase forum. Can a mod move this there?

Chase Business Card approval in limbo

Might be helpful calling to check on status and offer to answer any questions. I've found that has helped in the past. Good luck.

Chase Business Card approval in limbo

Go ahead and call. They'll most certainly ask questions about your business, so be prepared for that. If they like what they hear, you'll be approved on the spot.

Yep. I got a denial and called the recon line. The person I spoke with went over the last three years of business income and profit and also asked how much I expected to charge to the card each month.

I was also able to give her my business website where the contact information was identical to that on the app.

After about 15 minutes of being on hold and answering questions she put me on hold one last time for a few minutes and when she got back on the line she said she was recommending a $5k credit line, subject to supervisor approval.

For 2 days I got a "you will hear from us in approximately 2 weeks...." on the automated app status line. The morning of the 3rd day the recording changed to "You have been approved....."

Next stop is to figure out how to increase the CLI. I chose the card for the UR points but I also really do need a business card and I'll be bumping a $5k limit each month if I can't get a CLI.

Ok I have re-read the wiki searched here and googled this to no avail. How is the heck do I access my Ink online?

It is not populating on my standard Chase page, the page that features checking account and other cards

The business page on chase rerouts to my aforementioned login - downloading the ink app won't allow me to register as records show I do not have a business card/ink card with chase (I have activated the card and put 2.5k on it)

I'd like to avoid calling in and speaking to anyone
