Are they really using 333s on HKG-CAN now?

Right now, CX983 is too late for an early morning bank departure for transit ex-HKG, and CX988 is too early for the late evening bank for intra-Asia transit to CAN. (Skypier to ZhongShan last departure 20:20)

I think if UO does fly to CAN it can serve well two types of passengers from CAN to transit in HKG- both budget conscious and more regional destinations (which would take UO, and UO has a lot of destinations CAN and nearby places doesn't, one of UO's main sources of passengers is mainland Chinese as well), and long haul, higher paying passengers (which would take CX). plus it gives more timings to choose from.

Speaking of UO growth, it was apparently the fastest growing airline in the world this past year (in terms of passenger numbers, but route openings have something to do with that): https://www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/...gtype=homepage

CX just announced on Instagram that they will be resuming FCO ( 3x a week, seasonal) starting June 5th.

Wonder whether CX will increase frequencies to AMS, CDG, FRA and LHR too in future announcements.

CX already has 5 daily flights between HK & London Heathrow, that's not enough for you?

Wow. I am actually shocked because (a) I didn't think they would announce anything else to Europe this year so this would be next year at best and (b) when I was chatting with a cabin crew on a flight on Monday, she said it was coming back. I thought she meant aspirationally in the future it will come back/it was a rumour given crew aren't the most reliable source of information...

"We know you have been anticipating it" - I feel like they are talking at me 😂

Apart from LHR, AMS is also very slot constrained and the Netherlands government would like to cut more flights out of AMS due to their faith in climate change lol

Agreed, resuming BRU is probably already how CX "increasing AMS"

Not Heathrow, but I've heard/seen "CX is not back until it flies to Rome and Gatwick"...and now it's back to Rome...

only seasonally though.
Barcelona is still not year round either.

I wonder why they are pursuing this strategy , they have the planes , maybe there still is a crew shortage?
