Oh well back to reality - LHR-DME tomorrow!

They make it so easy

The following happened in about 4-5 minuets max.

Called GGL the phone did not even ring once and it was answered. I wanted to use some of the BA miles to get away this December. A very nice guy got me F seats over Christmas to EZE and back early 2008 using my miles request. He got me the seats in seconds and called me straight back. I did not even have to ask and he had already seated us both in the upper deck. I paid the fees and all was finished a few seconds later. We had a quick chat about traveling and we were done. Tickets were in my email inbox before I had put the phone down. A separate email arrived shortly after advising me of his contact details and to let him know if I needed anything else before I fly.

Full marks BA I can’t fault my most recent experience. ^

Any ideas what the requirements are to remain on the GGL??

I am well past the renewal for my card but have no idea of the terms that come with this GGL service. Were they in the welcome pack??

JFK calls again hopefully on time today.

Maybe the GGL rep booked the poster on LH, so that he could experience a real F product on the ground and in the catering.

Oh to be important.
Would kill for 2 F or J seats (or any combination of them) to EZE and back in the first two weeks of Jan... was told 'no chance' when I called up a few weeks ago

AA EXP, with its unparalleled 24/7 desk of highly competent and effective agents, has been around for more than 7 years now (and prior to that an undocumented TOPS program was functioning). I can't say just how much better one is over the other, but perhaps someone who has experienced both AA EXP and BAEC GGL can chime in with a comparison.

Just today, I realized I had forgotten to ticket a couple of AA 1st class awards. (BTW, just imagine for 125,000 miles each: LHR-MIA [stop] MIA-LAX-LAS [stop] LAS-LAX-MIA [stop] MIA-LHR...with all, but the short LAX-LAS-LAX segments in 3-class 777s.) The AA EXP agent grabbed the expired itinerary, split the record, ticketed both PAXs, and assigned seats in less than 10 minutes, with no excuses, warnings, scoldings, etc.--now that's service!

Irrespective of the above, congrats to all GGLs--you deserve it, now enjoy it!

Sounds like the Guest List is a big hit, a rightly so! Finally BA does something right and gives some of their crazier, I mean loyal, fliers something to strive towards besides just a GUF2.

Could this be a platinum-esque tier in the making? Will GGLs eventually get access to all the F-only facilities, such as Prems do today?
