not really no. They are refunding offline FTV generally over time, but I haven’t heard of online evoucher FTVs being auto refunded.

I don't see there is any way to do this unfortunately. You can split bookings which comprise multiple passengers, but I can't see you can split one between outbound and inbound flights.

I have a very quick question about Book With Confidence:

I made a cash flight-only booking on 23rd May 2022 for outbound travel on 10 June 2022, returning 14 June 2022. The cost was approx £1000.

Am I correct in thinking that I can cancel this booking and receive the cost back as a voucher? Furthermore, am I correct in thinking that the voucher will be issued as an e-voucher?

I have tried calling the Gold Line to ask about this but I am informed by them when doing so that they are "not taking calls right now".

Many thanks

Many thanks TBS.

One further question - is there a particular way I need to make the cancellation, or do I just do so via MMB?

Update: I went with the 'Apply for a voucher' page - the one where it says

"Enter your details below to apply for a voucher equal to the value of your flight only booking"

As a result I was told that I should receive my voucher code and details for using it by email within 7 days.

Fingers crossed it will be an e-voucher and I will receive it before too long.

Pending a more expert reply, my understanding from the learned folk on this forum is that you should not cancel via MMB (unless your fare is normally fully refundable) and that for a Book with Confidence FTV you should use the appropriate form here:

I don't think it matters as MMB will usually take you via the consent page to the FTV application page anyway. You may as well just go direct to the FTV application page though as you say.

That's interesting as I test ran a possible cancellation recently via MMB and it said that the fare type could not be cancelled online and referred me to the issuing agent, without reference to any FTV.
The FTV form accessed separately worked fine.

Final Update: I used the method kindly recommended by Bullswood and received the e-voucher by email about 10 minutes later. The full amount was refunded to the e-voucher.

I have a booking with 3 pax for this weekend. All on same booking. All BA operated.

One Pax has decided they don't want to go. What would my options be here?

call up to split the booking so you have the person not wanting to go on their own, then FTV their booking.

I presume the FTV will be in their name. Is there a way to get it in another name?

depends. if its a cash booking and hasn't been changed much, it should be an online evoucher and can be used by anyone. if it's a reward flight or a booking which has previoulsy been changed quite a bit it may be an offline FTV, and that would be restricted to the passenger only.

It's a cash booking, has not been changed at all.

The eVoucher can be used by anyone, OR anyone on the booking?
