This thread gives the current catering options for the LHR T5 Concorde Room (all day) and First Dining Room within the LHR T3 Galleries First lounge (after 18:30). Eligible passengers include BA First ticket holders, Premier and Concorde Room cardholders. The catering in both lounges is supplied by BaxterStorey, who took over the contract on 2 May 2013.

The current catering options in the LHR CCR can be found in the first post in the thread, or you can click here. In addition, there are a selection of bar snacks available, details found in post 8 or you can click here.

There are also photo guides (updated with December menus) which you can see in the following linked posts:

No food in the CCR (again). They say their ovens are not working.

Funny that the food is piping hot in the GFL, and here I thought they shared the same kitchen.

At least we'll get a nice meal before landing at JFK. Oh wait, no, that's been taken away too. Unbelievable how terrible BA have become.

I got told it was a flood in the kitchen (whether that was then therefore linked to the ovens becoming inoperable). I understand BA are going to start handing out £20 vouchers for passengers to find food elsewhere.

The kitchen here must flood a lot, since they’ve used this excuse a few months ago too. Funny how the kitchen looks perfectly operable when viewed through the open door in the GFL, across from the buffet full of piping hot food.

The ovens are bulk steam ovens, with poor reliability. When they fail, the water can get discharged over the floor causing multiple hazards to the staff.

Ah - I agree. I like my water very cold so always ask for sparkling water with ice (or some of the staff remember and bring me ice without my asking anyway! ^ ). I know many people who prefer water not to be too cold, but I am not one of them.

If you are hungry, go to customer services and ask and you’ll get £20 to spent in Pilots or similar as advised above - could be worse! The GF hot buffet is now gone too for reference.

I've noticed more and more, especially Americans, are asking for water at ambient temperature. I'm also in the camp that prefer their water chilled.

I always ask for "lots of ice" to make sure my water is cooled to an acceptable level. If a glass is delivered without ice (after asking) it is always sent back to be rectified.

What gives?
It’s not just the CCR, it’s basically everywhere outside of the US. I have had cabin crew literally comment ‘wow, you really like ice’!

I prefer my water at room temperature. Perhaps it's too many years of living here in the US where all water is delivered with masses of ice. If you get it delivered room temperature you can add ice. If it always comes with ice it's hard to remove it. I would therefore prefer the default to be for it to be delivered without ice. I suggest you just remember to ask for water with ice in future?

My standard request on AA for a pre departure beverage is 'water without ice'.

Unbelievably frustrating when it happens (and it does happen all too frequently), but it is usually fixed within the day, sometimes less, sometimes more, but the current problem will be fixed next week. For how long, we shall see, under the circumstances it's probably best to not create false expectations, but you should be fine.

With this mishap (or mayhem depending on how you see it), I assume LHR doesn't allow open flame cooking for all restaurants in its premises?

Correct, Burger King in T3 had a problem in this area when a minor accident led to the evacuation of T3. Airport authorities are very cautious in this space after the dreadful and wholly avoidable DUS fire.

Me too, but that is because the starting temperature from the trolleys is typically cold already! I much prefer a drink from the fridge without ice, but room temperature - and notably the CCR room temperature! - is definitely too warm for me when it comes to water.

Interestingly the pizza oven in the “Perfectionists Cafe” at T2 appears to be gas fired. Quite how this prevents the use of a standard catering gas oven, without the propensity to dump water all over the place, I don’t know...

ETA: See the 5th picture down in this article on the design of the restaurant.
