I figured, my question was more.... Why? Why even IS there a "straight" layout in the app when no such seatmap even exists?! Who at BA IT decided that just for this one cabin layout to create a different, "false" seat map?!

Smiley90, That is the million dollar question of WHY BA IT does things so badly. One of life's great puzzles since no can will be able to give you an answer to that satisfactorily

I am flying to SFO in August on a 77L and returning from LAS on the A350 (I know this takes this part away from this thread). Am booked Club in both directions and there are 5 of us. I currently have booked seats 6A, 7A, 7E, 7F and 7K outbound with 10A, 10E, 11A, 11E and 11F for return. Club Suites all the way there and back so just wondering what peoples opinions are on the seats I have selected

Hi folks, i'm booked on BA0105 LHR-DXB this November 22. Booked WT+ and was originally on the 388 but they've now cancelled that flight and thrown us onto the 777 (77J by looks of the seat map, 3 rows of WT+? 12-14?)
Can anyone let me know if Row 12A,B and 12J,K have bassinets as we are travelling with an infant? The official BA seat map only shows D,E,F,G with bassinets but would rather we have two seats of our own and a window.
Also considering changing flights to the 788 morning service so we can be on a refreshed WT+ rather than the ancient cabin, not worth my money paying loads for this outdated crap, IMO its not fair that others can pay the same and get a newer modern cabin.
Please let me know regarding the bassinets, struggling to get firm info on this? Thankyou!

Above suggests bassinets across all row 12.

Flying on BA172 August 1st JFK-LHR. Can anyone remind me which WT seats have the annoying electronics boxes underneath the seat in front which take up half the legroom? Forgot about this last time on this route and was disappointed to find we were sitting behind one of them.

According to this post the Panasonic equipped planes (I believe all the densified 777s) don't have those boxes in WT anymore.
edited to add: I see from Flighty that we flew on G-VIIJ

I can only comment based on what the other 13 frames had done in 18/19, which in summary was new seat covers, foams, mood lighting, IFE upgrade and new WTP seats and densified WT cabin.
YMMA was completed last month, so if you are lucky it might smell fresh too!
This thread has more info. Page 22 onwards picks up when first refurb entered service!

We had YMMA a week ago and can confirm it’s the same as FO6 said above. Old CW seat but with new covers, foams, lighting, ex3 IFE. Looked like they may have cleaned and refreshed certain other bits too (for example all the seat control buttons/panels looked new). Although there was no in flight seat power for the first half of the flight - think it might’ve been forgotten to be switched on!
What I found interesting (and I assume it’s the same on the 10 across 777 and perhaps others), is that club kitchen is meant to be behind the CW cabin. So there’s a lovely big space, CW signage, fridges, racks etc. but it wasn’t used. When chatting to one of the lovely crew members, he said that they had problems with people from WTP (which is the other side of the galley) helping themselves! So instead they put a few bits in a bowl up front. Seems a shame really and a wasted space!
