Welcome to FlyerTalk CrotchRocket (interesting name!) although sad that your introduction is because of an unpleasant issue.

Did BA contact you to advise that your booking had been cancelled?

Sorry to hear youre in a bit of a situation! But I really wouldn't know what to do but I suggest calling your travel insurer as this is usually what they are for!

Do get back to us and let us know how it's going!

BA contacted me by phone 16:06 yesterday. She refered to the email she said they had sent (had not received anything at that point)

I was in PRG when I received the call.

Really don't mind them cancelling it, just wish they did it a little sooner

Technically I believe they also need to reimburse your additional costs like positioning flight(s) and hotel costs.

Great attitude. ^ Only way to go with risky fares like this. I think you will be a welcome addition to the troops here.

Why? Nobody outside the forums takes notice.

What a complete shambles.

What it really needs is for everyone (if there's more than 1 of course!) who's gone to Prague to position for these bookings to contact the press. 'Stranded in Prague due to BA's incompetence'. I believe that there is one newspaper which seems to like having a dig at BA.

Seriously, this is not funny.

Alas the great british public would love nothing better than to see a First class traveller stranded in Prague. There wouldnt be any sympathy
