Happy Friday folks.
I initially thought it was Margate too!
Here's a wee photo from a previous FT trip to Margate.

Haha! Only works in English, although my Mexican dentist speaks really good English, so perhaps I will book a 2.30 appointment

I’ve been doing that of late and have decided that, like a long lost acquaintance, I have outgrown them
I’m on a remote contract which is great as I live far north but the offices are south and midlands… and a lot of my teams are based south of Watford gap so travel south to the offices is both inevitable and time consuming

It's a quiet weekend at home for us. We don't have any flying booked now until 20th December when we fly back to the UK for Christmas. I will be doing some chores including maybe trimming back some of the plants and there's a lamp that needs replacing in the side yard. We fired our landscaper a couple of weeks ago so keeping Chez Geordie405 in good nick now falls on me. Fortunately there are a few decent garden centres nearby so we'll be paying one of those a visit. The weather is such that we can now comfortably sit out in the back yard although in the evenings we'd probably light the firepit. With it getting a little cooler the fruit on our citrus salad trees is starting to ripen so we're looking forward to fresh lemons and oranges etc. No limes this year, hopefully next year though.
I did manage to get next year's summer holiday flights booked using a load of Avios and my Chase voucher. Our daughter is going to be in Germany next year as part of her Master's program so we've booked flights for her (flying into Berlin, back from Prague) and we'll meet her in Berlin at the end of her course, have a couple of days there, take the train to Prague, have a few days there before she flies home, and then we'll head on to Bratislava. We fly back from LHR via MAD to DFW all on Iberia so far fewer Avios and taxes etc. than flying BA. Just need to figure out how we get from Bratislava to Newcastle. Plenty of time to figure it out but the train is tempting!

It was a frustrating Friday in T8191's Study as he and iWife tried to find somewhere to go during Winter. Much research of Mauritius destinations revealed, according to TripAdvisor and BA Holidays, an endless list of hotels with not very good food, Kids Clubs or both. By the time we had worked down the options to reach £12,000 for a week's AI, we gave up!
