Just spotted this too and came here to post. Same banner for 6K for the PP card showing on my BAEC homepage. Seems very low for the PP card, I wonder what it means for the standard card!

I might have to eat my words from yesterday, the referral offer is still showing the September 12th expiry date at the moment.

Amex have done this just to prove Raffles wrong, I'm sure of it.

When I clicked on the banner showing 6k, it took me to a page that still said 18k - so anyone who wants it still could probably still get it...

You get 4,000 Avios
Your friend gets 7,000 Avios
a measly 11k as opposed to 28k yesterday ....

it's not worth doing at the moment I can purchase 11k avios for £191 so would only save £41 and as I still have a BMI MBNA amex I get better mileage rate on spend on that card and it's transferred to avios anyway....

Indeed.
How they can go from 40,000 Avios to 6,000 Avios within 2 months is beyond me.
Sit and wait until 24 October, I think. It's not as if the card is the best earner out there, given you get 2 per £1 with the BMI Amex fee version.
Use the time to get the Hilton card which is my preferred choice at the moment - a free night for signing up (£250 value if you're smart) and 10,000 Hilton points as well if you use the link posted on Head for Points a couple of days ago.

unfortunately, I need about 30k extra miles to redeem a 2-4-1 voucher next month and that offer would have been perfect! never mind, it's not the end of the world i'll just purchase the avios - it would have been a £250 saving though!

actually on the referral page link there is no end date, which makes me think that actually it could change sooner - will keep an eye out or wait for another helpful post from this forum!

I got a BA PP card when the 40k offer was around, I got a month left and i'm just short of the spend. However someone pointed out to me as I already hold an Amex Platinum I might not be able to claim the BA offer. I was under the impression they are 2 separate entities and therefore the offer on the BA card would still be valid. Can someone please clarify.
Thanks
