There is no need for Reward Seat availability.
They changed my booking from end of June to end of July, without any issues.

I need to cancel my LAX-LHR-BCN flight on June 21/22 return LHR-LAX.on July 6. (Business class) The cruise I booked was canceled. I don’t want a voucher... I doubt I will ever cruise in Europe again as my husband is 75 now and it would be at least 2 years before we would dare book another cruise in Europe. I hope they cancel one of the segments... I doubt it would be the LAX-LHR segment. When would I find out about any flight cancellations? If they don’t cancel... would I be able to get a refund on the taxes and seats that I purchased for the flights? At least I’d get a fair chuck of money back!
thanks!

Hi,
I have a booking AGP-LHR-NCL on 14/06 coming back on 20/04. The flight numbers are BA 413, BA 1336, BA 1327 and BA 454.
I think BA 1336 and BA 1327 are both cancelled but they show as normal in my MMB.
Are they indeed canceled? If so can I get my money back?.
Thanks.

To avoid overcrowding at hotlines at the same moment, BA is gradually sending cancellation notices to each passenger.
And, yes all LHR-NCL flights are zeroed for June so you should receive a cancellation notice soon.

Flights may be zeroed at the moment but until you get a cancellation notice ( by e-mail, phone, or when you log in to MMB ), you wouldn't able to get a refund.

I have a booking from OSL via LHR to SIN on BA11 in middle of June. Are all the BA11 flights cancelled until end of May? I know that nobody can be sure, but what is the chance of BA11 being cancelled in June also? If BA cancel BA11 and moves us to BA15, would I still be able to cancel the ticket for a full refund?
If BA11 is not cancelled but I still cancel the ticket. Except from taxes, would I still get back the Avios I used to upgrade from C to F?

If you cancel then you will get back a small amount of taxes & fees. The UuA itself should be refunded, albeit I think you have to pay a Ł35 fee.
Under the circumstances where your flight isn't cancelled I think either the rebook or voucher options under book with confidence are far more preferable than just cancelling.

for July cancellations you may have to wait a few weeks. Be patient.
If it a non refundable fare and you cancel without a flight cancellation you would only get taxes and fees and that isn’t likely to be very much, it probably won’t be a fair chunk.
The voucher can be used for any flight booking, you don’t need to book the same route. Are you planning not to travel at all for the next year?

I’d love to return to Europe, but my husband isn’t that keen on traveling, only likes to cruise and this COVID-19 has really made him wary of making any advance plans. I think the vouchers have a 1 year expiry date and there is no way we would plan another cruise within that time. I’ve already lost 2 cruises to COVID-19... just hoping my cruise to Australia/New Zealand in November still sails.

the taxes are $1200+ per person. The total fare was $7800 for 2. So getting $2400 back is better than nothing. So I’d end up eating the $500+ that I paid for seat selection?

I think you are best of just waiting for a cancellation - it is highly likely at least one flight in your booking will be cancelled at some point - and once that happens you can get a full refund.

if there is a 120 minute or greater schedule change from point of origin to the point of destination then you can cancel for a full refund under the standard guidelines. In terms of whether BA11 will be cancelled in June who knows.
If you take the voucher then you won't lose anything - everything will be on the voucher including the avios for the UuA.
If you cancel then you will get back a small amount of taxes & fees. The UuA itself should be refunded, albeit I think you have to pay a Ł35 fee.

And a voucher is not counted as «money» so I rather claim from insurance instead of taking a voucher.

Thank you for the reply. I guess since BA11 and BA15 are so close, I would not get the money back anyway if they move me to BA15. My travel insurance will pay me back all the money, but I need to cancel BA ticket first and get back as much money as possible before insurance pays the rest. Good to know I can claim back the Avios also

The taxes are definitely not $1200 per person. The carrier surcharge will be most of that taxes/fees/charges amount, and the carrier surcharge is not refunded. If I look at an example of a LAX-BCN return in J the total taxes/fees/charges is $1448 per person. Of that only about $111 is taxes and fees which would be refunded.
As you note, you wouldn't get back the seat selection fees either.

I have a ticket, LHR-NCE departing last week of May, MRS-LHR departing mid June. It would connect on TATL SFO-LHR, on separate UA ticket. These tickets were booked in August.
UA hasn't canceled the TATL ticket, just changed it.
Meanwhile BA has canceled the LHR-NCE flight but not the return MRS-LHR. Oddly, when you search the legs individually, there is an LHR-NCE ticket, earlier in the day but there are no flights for MRS-LHR.
In any event, I will have to cancel the whole itinerary.
The Schengen entry-ban is expected to be extended to 15 May, meaning no entry for Americans. Are UK citizens allowed to enter Schengen or more likely citizens of Schengen states residing in the UK?
They may be going month to month but Macron supposedly said entry ban to France may have to go until September. And even that sounds optimistic.
There can't be much passenger traffic between UK and France now nor will there likely to be in the next two months?
