That’s what I was just thinking. Where do they even start?
If we book a flight now, for December let’s say, the timings and that are likely to be so different, especially for the 2/3 weekly leisure routes.
I wonder when they will announce schedule changes for W20? They’ll need to have a plan even if it’s only the end of the season that comes into play.

However, as ski lodges and boutique ski resorts would be pretty popular this winter, I also expect more frequencies to Chambery, Lyon, Geneva, Innsbruck, and similar other destinations. A321neo operating instead of A319/A320 could also be the case for these routes.

I am also flying on 3 June but HKG-LHR.
In the past 24h, EF has been giving strange results.
As of just now, EF lists both BA28 and BA32 as oerating.
But if you don't specify a specific airline, the flights are zeroed in all classes. If you specify BA there are plenty of seats available.
BA website also offer both flights for sale.
Hard to understand.

You think? A number of towns in Austria have said that 'business as usual' is not in the cards this winter.

Just had my first double Corona cancellation- flight originally for April (VIE) cancelled and re-booked for week of 15 June......the re-booked flight has now also been cancelled. Strangely the re-booking page seems to have various June dates still open for this route, even though the email mentioned that due to Corona the route remains suspended. You'd have thought they would simply blank it all out?
I will re-book again for a few weeks later, but with the expectation that this too will get binned. So BA clearly not confident of much going on in June.
I am thoroughly depressed.

Probably, Belfast was not one of the destinations that had an entire cancellation but only a frequency reduction.

Yes of course. I'm not concerned about my personal travel- it's a trip that can easily be re-scheduled.....more the realisation that this situation that this is longer and more severe than I had hoped.......and the impact it will have on everyone. This really is the ultimate lose lose situation. Except maybe hand sanitizer salespeople on commission.

It seems to be a frequency reduction to one a day. Unfortunately we weren’t on the 1423, got the cancellation of the outbound this afternoon.

My first flight cancellations also arrived today for June. I have a holiday trip booked DUS - LHR - GIG (Rio) / GIG - LHR - DUS in June and both short haul flights are cancelled with no alternative proposed. Question is what I do best, given the hotel was booked as non-refundable, and also a transfer from/to the airport was added. For now, I rather sit and wait for a while - I can still apply for a voucher closer to departure date - to see if other changes occur, but on the other hand the terms and conditions mentions:
"8.6. If we make a significant change to your booking then, whether compensation is payable or not, you have a choice. You may:
8.6.1. accept the significant change; or
8.6.2. accept substitute arrangements of equivalent or superior quality if we are able to offer this to you; or
8.6.3. accept substitute arrangements of lower quality if we are able to offer this to you together with a refund of the difference in price between the original and the substitute arrangements; or
8.6.4. cancel your booking altogether, in which case we will process a refund in full of all money you have paid us for the booking within 7 days of your request.
8.7. You must tell us which one of the above choices (under Clause 8.6) you make within 7 days of being informed of the significant change we are making, or as soon as reasonably practicable if your departure is less than 7 days from the date you receive notification. If we do not receive notification from you about your choice you are deemed to have accepted the option in Clause 8.6.4 above."
Does that include also the full amount for the hotel, even being non-refundable? I wouldn't even mind getting a voucher as long as it's for the full amount. Anyone ever experienced a chance/cancellation by BA with a non-refundable hotel and how that affected a (possible) refund?

If your flights are cancelled, you are entitled to a full refund regardless of fare rules.
By the way, vouchers handed are valid until 30 April 2022.
