AKL - BKK - HKG - ICN in business ?

I've just called ICC twice and been told that because only one stopover is allowed, I either need to book AKL - BKK - HKG as one booking then HKG - ICN as another, or AKL - BKK as one booking then BKK - HKG - ICN as another. I asked them if they could just charge me extra for the extra stopover and they said no.

You can not have two stopovers in an Oneway award.

Thanks - I thought that was the case, but wasn't sure if there was a workaround to get an extra stopover with maybe more miles. Looks like there isn't.

Not unless one of the stops is less than 24 hours.

LAX-RAR impossible?

Trying to book LAX-AKL with a stopover in RAR. Checking on KVS, on 23 and 30 September 2012 there is availability on LAX-AKL via RAR, but looking up just the LAX-RAR segment on the same days KVS says "no award available/route too complex". This seems to suggest that LAX-RAR is not available for redepmtions but LAX-AKL on the very same flight is. Could this be just a technical glitch or is LAX-RAR really banned? AFAIK Air New Zealand does have the rights to carry passengers between LAX and RAR. Any ideas? Thanks, ps

ANA shows LAX-RAR available on 23 Sep. FWIW, I've booked and travelled LHR-LAX-RAR (stop)-AKL without problem.

The KVS problem occurs because it uses ANA underneath and the RAR-LAX return is not a daily service so the request fails. If you change the "POS" in KVS to JP-ANA +6D then it will find a return for the following Saturday and it's happy:

Anyone have any experience with this?

I have managed to snag 3 x biz in all sectors long haul but a SIN-DPS leg I can only get 2 J and 1 Y.

How strict will SQ be say if I book the 3yr old in Y and then make him sit on my lap for the 3hr flight?

The other option would be to book both J seats, then hope that another one is released once those two are taken.

I have a feeling that you'd need to put the person in Y on a separate PNR anyway, which makes it even less likely that SQ would allow what appears to be a 3 year old flying on their own...

SQ rarely releases the 3rd seat on the DPS route so that's a no go. DC doesn't take age of people travelling so SQ won't know 3rd pax is a 3yr old until check in. Or I could ticket myself in Y.

Ah, apologies - I thought more seats had popped up after I booked 2 J, but on checking it seems not. Scrap that then...

That's not going to work -- the maximum age for a lap child is 2 years.

Correct me please if this is OT.

I have a EDI- LHR - IAH - CUN - IAH - LHR booked for next April with CO.

There was no connection from LHR to EDI to complete the trip available, however I booked it anyway as trying to get to Cancun in CO Business First is difficult enough.

I've now noticed that there has been a flight released from LHR to EDI on my return date - although it's still too early for me to make a connection. If they release a later flight do I have any option to add this connection to my existing redemption?

I don't want to risk a re-ticketing and losing the CO booking though - but is that what they would have to do?

It will need reticketing but they won't release the seats, but they are likely to re cost the booking, so if YQ has gone up since you booked you will pay the new rates. I'd suggest you put you're original itinerary in ITA and check the price
