PER-oJNB-LVI
And if so, would it be a Z9-Z6 or Z9-Z5 redemption?
(Zambia is not listed in either zone 5 or zone 6)

Also, would this be allowed?
CPT-xJNB-DAR,NBO-xCAI-ABS
As a single Z6-Z5 redemption?

I think both routings are reasonable and should be OK.

Is flying from Europe to India via BKK or SIN allowed (e.g. to BLR or MAA)?

Only if no direct flight from Europe.

My sister tried to book a redemption from LHR - FRA - EWR - SFO yesterday. She is in Frankfurt for a couple of hours only and wants to stopover in New York for a few days. The agent wouldn't let her add the SFO leg saying she couldn't have another stopover. Did she just have a dodgy agent? The itinerary sounds ok to me. Am I missing anything? Thanks.

No, she got the dumbest agent in the building, one who obviously hasn't got a clue about even the basics.

Thought so - thanks.

Think the same. She should call back and ask for the same routing. Was able to get a similar redemption last week, both ways.

And do you think PER-oJNB-LVI will be Z9-Z5 or a Z9-Z6 redemption?

MAA might be an exception, or perhaps East and South India. I tried to get LHR-SIN-DEL or BOM, or LHR-BKK-DEL or BOM for a friend last week on days where there was no availability to DEL or BOM via the usual European carriers and the ICC wouldn't accept it as a valid routing. A Supervisor said the same but wouldn't explain why.

I am looking from MAA, interestingly Aeroplan shows MAA-BKK-LHR as a routing, not attempted ICC yet LH only showing Y availability for my date options. Not fussed about stopovers (have been to SIN and BKK before) just want a nice flight back in C or F (TG came up on Aeroplan as available, not sure about SIN)

anyone know if it shows on Aeroplan as a valid option then it is likely to be the same with bmi?

MAA/BLR are allowed as there are no direct options from Europe as is the case with KTM.

DEL/BOM are not allowed due to the direct links from Europe.

Lufthansa fly to both MAA and BLR.
