That throws my plans completely off-kilter, as I was intending to cash out my 75,000 miles for two one-ways in biz from Z1/Z2 to Brazil, with the longest possible stopover in San Francisco each way, cause I live here. The *A website doesn't seem to show any routing from Europe to Brazil that connects in Houston, no matter where I start from, I keep getting offered connections in Europe to GRU/GIG.

If you can stretch to re-approach the USA from the West Coast side (eg from Hawaii Z11) perhaps a stopover might work...?

wondering how expensive in revenue a side trip might be from one of those points? some side trips seem to cost less than one might think, in Asia

They no longer care about the MPM. They apparently only care if the route comes up as eligible one on staralliance.com. Yes. I know. Totally crazy.

To be honest although ICC does not actually use MPM, if a route you're thinking of proposing would exceed MPM, lots of times that could be a clue you're pushing it more than is reasonable...

SIN-NRT or CTS - ICN

Hi guys,

Was wondering if this route is available: SIN-NRT or HND or CTS- ICN

Basically I would like to do it as a one way Zone 7 to Zone 8, Singapore to Korea with a stopover in Japan.

Would this be backtracking, and if so anyway to get around this?

No stopovers in Europe >24 hours, the route itself is fine though.

Hi, I'm reasonably new to all this, I have found some goof F availability for a range of dates when I'm intending to travel, however, it would be BHX-FRA-MIA (Stopover) - HOU-SLA. No direct flight shows up for MIA-SLA. Would this count as one one way reward booking (i.e. 22500 miles in Y, *2.5 in F), or is this one too many connections?

many thanks!

I'm looking to do one final redemption... I presume MLE has to be on the 1 weekly OS these days, or would HEL-FRA-oSIN-MLE be ok?

How about HEL-FRA-SIN-oBKK-KTM, or HEL-ARN-oBKK-KTM?

Staralliance.com comes up with no routing to KTM, only shows OS to MLE.

I need the stopover, but no intention to drop the last leg, will fly EY MLE/KTM-AUH.

Sorry, I don't understand your response. Routing through Hawaii?

just a test to see whether you could stretch to doing more than Europe. If so, I was checking out this route for possible use except I was already coming from Zone 9. There were several places on West Coast that came up with connections to South America. It follows, that you wouldn't go to East Coast for a connection if you were already approaching from the West Coast? and Hawaii is not too many extra miles even as a return, so as to approach from that direction perhaps making a separate booking so as not to backtrack? if you haven't any miles extra after your Europe trip(s) to burn, or if you haven't the taste to travel in that direction then it won't work for you, but just a thought that you might be able to see if it's possible to manipulate your return from Europe so as to land West of the US. Then you've only got to fund a one-way mileage slight increase as you come back over the West Coast, take your "stopover", then continue on where you would have gone to in an Easterly direction?

I think that should be ok. Don't see why they would say no.
