1) Is the any other destination than KTM with which you can do ZRH/FRA - BKK (stop) - XXX as a Z1-Z10?

2) Would ZRH - BKK (stop) - SIN - MLE be allowed as a Z1-Z10? Always allowed or just if direct ZRH - SIN is not available?

Thanks for you help!

I have MLE-SIN-BKK-LHR booked so should be ok.

Any thoughts on whether SVG-FRA-ICN-HKG or SVG-FRA-ICN-TPE will/should be allowed?

I'm looking to do one final redemption... I presume MLE has to be on the 1 weekly OS these days, or would HEL-FRA-oSIN-MLE be ok?

How about HEL-FRA-SIN-oBKK-KTM, or HEL-ARN-oBKK-KTM?

Staralliance.com comes up with no routing to KTM, only shows OS to MLE.

I need the stopover, but no intention to drop the last leg, will fly EY MLE/KTM-AUH.

HEL-ARN-oBKK-KTM should be OK.
I doubt HEL-FRA-SIN-oBKK-KTM routing will be accepted.

Hi All,

I'm trying to redeem from BMI miles on a trip from NY to Argentina and Brazil. I have found availability on UA from EWR -EZE am i able to FLN on JJ using a one way award?

Cheers
James

JJ domestic seats won't show till three months prior to date of travel.

Why as part of an Alliance they are allowed to do that is beyond me. :td:

Thought I'd read elsewhere that if you were adding to an international itinerary they were bookable at 180 days out?

AKL-EZE

How can I get from AKL-EZE?

Would AKL-SIN-EWR-EZE or AKL-PVG-IST-GRU-EZE be allowed?

I could not see any seats out of AKL to LAX/SFO/YVR.

Shortest Star Alliance routing between AKL and EZE is, AKL-(NZ)-PER-(SA)-JNB-(SA)-EZE.

That's what I thought until I tried to add on a JJ GRU-EZE sector coming off a UA flight. Never had that problem when flying on a full JJ itinerary though. Even still....six months max isn't really fair either.

I suspect you will have to route via N America.

Would the following be valid as Z7 to Z1 redemption:

BKK-HKT(Phuket)-SIN-LHR, or
BKK-USM(Samui)-SIN-LHR

although I can't seem to find any direct flights from either island to SIN (I'm sure they used to have direct connections?)

jbfield Mar 27, 2012 3:14 pm

I would doubt it.
BKK-LHR being the most direct and BKK-SIN being more direct than via HKT or USM.
You could probably get BKK-SIN-LHR but unlikily to get those domestic connections even if they did exist.

There probably are Silkair flights between HKT / USM and SIN but they're not StarAlliance.

Indeed Thai do not fly those routes and neither do SQ. It's Silkair or Bangkok airways. you will need to buy them separately.

Looking for quick input, as ICC says no. I am looking at a Z8-Z2 via Z1:

ICN-LHR (stopover)-WAW.
ICC says I can not stopover and need to connect directly to WAW. Is that right?

Correct no stop overs in zone 1 or 2
