Please Help
Is this route possible? MAN - PHL- LAS - IAH - EZE in business class possible as a one way booking for zone 1 - 4 via 3? If not is MAN - LHR - IAH - EZE a more possible routing? Unfortunately the routing via FRA is not available for when we want to travel in early Feb 2013. Thank you |

How does it work if I want to redeem a Hong Kong to Europe ticket, with a stopover in Thailand (BKK obviously)? I would like to visit both Chiang Mai, and the islands, probably Koh Samui. Is it possible to do a side trip within Thailand before continuing on the same ticket to Europe, or do trips to Chiang Mai and/or Koh Samui have to be booked separately?

Hi there!
When making a redemption via the ICC, can I book any *A-operated intra-European routing? For example: I would like to fly CPH-FCO. Can I also redeem my miles on a "non-direct" flight (say CPH-FRA-FCO*) and actually choose between different *A carriers and flight times (given availability)? Or do I have to accept the routing/flight times etc. being offered by the ICC? Will it be possible to redeem miles on *A carriers after April 20? Thank you very much in advance for your help! *I know that this routing doesn't really make sense and that I will even need more miles for that, but it just serves as an example) |
Hey folks, so how about LAX-HND-AKL (stopover)- PPT (final)
Basically going from North America to Australia/South Pacific flying through Asia. It's the only way it will work since nothing is available in J on NZ! |

It may be possible to avoid backtracking through BKK by flying the TG CNX-HKT flight. |

The challenge is star alliance to ppt. Not too many options. Only akl as a gateway.

I would still end up transiting BKK twice, once on the way to CNX, and the other time on the way back from Phuket, Koh Samui, or wherever. But thanks, anyway, I will investigate the idea.

Zero availability on the CNX-HKT flight and vv for any date whatsoever. So it looks like they don't release it for awards.
CNX-HKT does get released for awards, when are you flying? |

I'm trying to help my sister burn all her miles for a trip to North America, and wanted to check a few things before doing battle with the ICC.
She wants to do GLA - YYZ - SFO - GLA. After hours and hours on the ANA site, I've found the following: GLA - PHL (US J); PHL - YYZ (AC J) YYZ - SFO (AC J) SFO - EWR (UA J); EWR - GLA (UA Y) Am I right in thinking that the trip to YYZ counts as a stopover, so this should come in at the cost of a z1-3 J round trip? Also, ANA wasn't coming up with any availability when I asked it for SFO - GLA, but is showing seats when I search for the two legs separately. ITA shows it as a valid connection (she's got 3 or so hours in EWR to prepare for the delights of a TATL in the cheap seats) - I presume that the call centre won't see any problems with that? |

You could try the direct HKG-HKT flight, then pick up the direct PG flights HKT-USM and USM-CNX, and then pick up back on TG CNX-BKK-wherever
CNX-HKT does get released for awards, when are you flying? I am planning the trip for early January 2013, 2nd week actually. But I'll need to get a move on, as 20th April is looming. Is it possible to redeem on ET (Ethiopian) between HKG and BKK, as that option appears on ANA? It sounds like an interesting variant. |

Hey, this is a really interesting way of doing it. I wouldn't have thought of doing it like that! Excuse the ignorance, but what is PG?

I rechecked the USM-CNX bit and that is via BKK but a continuation of the same flight number by the looks of it, but even so it's an option for you. I don't see any reason why you couldn't book HKG-BKK on ET as long as they've got 5th freedom on that route. The best bet would be to try expedia or somewhere and see if they will throw ET up as an option. 2nd week in Jan maybe explains why CNX-BKK isn't bookable, it's too far out I would think and in high season and TG are rubbish at releasing domestic seats in peak periods (in my experience) a long time in advance on high traffic routes. I suspect that you may need to book what you can before the 20th and make the rest up as you go along after BD exits * |
