Also check Delta.com: Sometimes better offers might be available there.

The Amex referral page has a 60K offer for the Delta Personal card.

The following offers for up to 70K on personal and business:

https://www.delta.com/content/www/en....html#Platinum

valid through 04/11/2018

There are several 60, 000 miles offers for the personal card with the first year annual fee waived the first year, valid through May 1, 2019. They are listed in this referral thread. These are way better than the current standard public offer of 30,000 miles shown on Delta's website

Delta Amex Gold personal card: 50k+10k miles + $50 statement credit, $2,000 spend, $95 annual fee waived the first year

If you are current Delta Platinum AMEX cardholder, you might be eligible for 10K referral offer. New cardmember bonus is 70K.

Gold Personal:
"Earn 60,000 bonus miles after you make $2,000 in purchases on your new Card within your first 3 months and $1000 more w/in 6 months and a $50 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card within your first 3 months."
https://www.americanexpress.com/us/c...elta-skymiles/

A post on Reddit suggests that you can find a 50K offer, but with a $100 credit, by doing a dummy booking on Delta.com.
The offer should appear before you have to pay for the flight. [Did [b]not work when I booked a flt today, 3/15/17.]

Note: Review the recent discussion in the thread about various other ways to try to locate offers as high as 50k+$50 credit.

Getting the statement credit:
MrMoonlight successfully purchased a Delta ecert (essentially a gift card) and received the statement credit. See this post..
Jacobsta811 also received $50 credit for $50 e-cert on both gold business and gold personal cards.
muji received $100 credit for $50 eCert on Delta Platinum card
sdsearch received $100 credit for $50 eCert on business Platinum card (see this post).
vah4883 received $100 credit for $5.6 tax on Platinum card
philemer received $100 credit for buying a box lunch on board

I'm not sure about the Gold card, but the Platinum is currently running at its highest public offer AFAIK. (It was previously 50k SkyMiles, and defaults to 5k MQM instead of 10k.)

It's likely only going to go down, but if you use a referral the higher bonus actually extends to 7/26.

I recently got the Delta Platinum Card personal card - I do NOT plan on flying Delta in the next few months. Can you PLEASE tell me what the CHEAPEST QUALIFYING Delta Purchase I can make without stepping on a plane to purchase a drink or snack. Thank you

You can certainly buy a Delta e-gift card on Delta's website for as little as $50 and have it trigger the $100 credit. (That's what I did.) The $50 minimum is Delta's minimum purchase amount for an e-gfit Card; there is no minimum for the credit itself.)

I don't know of anything else cheaper that's reliable if you aren't going to be on a Delta plane (or in a Delta lounge at an airport).

And it's very "cheap" in that it's a discount of the same amount on the next Delta flight you take, so it's essentially $0 cost, just "advance spending" on your next Delta flight so to speak (without having to know the destination or the travel dates). These e-gift cards don't expire, so as long as you'll fly Delta someday (and won't lose your email with the e-gift card info before that), it's just "money in the bank" so to speak.

(While some of the "very low cost" things that people buy on the plane they might not have really needed, so in those cases it might be "throwaway" cost, even if low.)

Is it possible to get the the personal and business platinum the same day? Offer expires today and I completely forgot to apply before!!

Or shall I do one and use someones referral for the other since the referral is still 70k, extended till 7/26. If so, are there referrals for both personal and business?

Hi was wondering if anyone here can answer this:

I couldn't find anything related to this: if I use deltas website to book a hotel would that purchase code as a delta purchase (thus trigger the delta statement credit) or would it show up as a hotels.com purchase (on the site it says the search engine is powered by hotels.com)?

Thanks!

Anything that says site A is powered by site B, the charge is almost certain to show up as billed by site B. That has certainly happened with airlines that outsource[d] selling of miles to points.com, for example. So I would certainly expect it to show up as a hotels.com purchase in this case, not a Delta purchase.

They post very quickly, a week or less after meeting spend requirement.

I had two people use my referral for the 70,000 Platinum bonus on the 27th. I had to close my Platinum account on the 28th as it was the last day to cancel without having to pay the fee again.

My 20,000 referral miles have not yet posted. Any chance I'll get them or am I out of luck?

I'm going to bet "out of luck," considering the processing time and typical lag, but maybe you'll eek it out.

Oddly, one has come through so far. The applications and approvals were within minutes of each other. We'll see about the other.

I got an offer for the Gold Amex from Delta with 60k miles for $1000 spend and $50 for my first Delta purchase. Think I'll jump on it since it sounds like 60k miles is about as good as it gets on that card. Quick question, can I meet both requirements at once by booking a flight at over $1000? It seems like it would, but sometimes Amex can be weird about only crediting a purchase to only one category. When I got my BCP a few years ago, a lot of my initial $1500 spend was for groceries and they didn't give me 6% cash back credit for those.
