On the flight details page right below the text you copied, there's a checkbox labeled "Yes! I'd like to apply for a card now and then complete my booking." If you check this box then hit the red "Continue" button, you'll be taken to the card application form.
However, you may also want to try going straight to https://www.americanexpress.com/us/c...elta-skymiles/ inside an Incognito window in your browser. I'm currently able to pull an offer for 50,000 SkyMiles after $1,000 purchases within 3 months, plus a $150 statement credit after any Delta purchase within 3 months, plus first year annual fee waived.

My wife and I recently got approved for the Delta Gold Amex, under the 50,000 miles, and $50 statement credit offer. The credit only applies if a purchase is made from Delta.
Is it possible to buy a gift card, and apply it to my SkyMiles account, using her card? I'd rather have all the $ under one account rather than split between the two of us.

I picked up the Delta gold Amex card back in late July and used it to purchase a trip to SYD before the card arrived. As soon as the card arrived and I was able to link it to my existing Amex account, I saw that the $50 cash back for $1000 had already posted. Today I went onto delta.com to pick seats for an upcoming business flight and I found that the 60k miles had posted as well. I believe the billing cycle closed today, which was probably the trigger for the miles to post. Given some of the previous posts talking about 8-12 weeks for the miles to post, it was a pleasant surprise.

Same happened with me. Opened a card in April two days before the end of the 60K/$50 credit / $0 AF bonus. I haven't seen teh 60K bonus miles or statement credit.
3-4 weeks ago chatted with a rep (online chat) and she said they'd open a ticket and get back with me in about a month. Chatted again today, and they said no update, and there was a big issue recently with new cards not getting bonuses so they my account to that list.
What can we do if we met the T&Cs and they don't give us our miles? T&Cs say I should get my 60K miles within 6-8 weeks. It's been over 12.

Bait and switch at its finest.
ETA: Is there anything we can do about this? Are signup bonus' protected under some customer protections/etc? This is ridiculous.

Another two weeks and still no bonus miles. Met the spend in May with a statement day of around May 25th.

I just learned of a new benefit (new to me) for the Delta Platinum card called "Fly now, earn later". It lets you advance miles to yourself and earn them through spending over 6 months. Is this new or has this always been around?

Looking back I didn't think I was supposed to get one but it hasn't posted either. I will double check what the offer was when I get home. I have the flyer on my desk. According to my quoted post a few above I was supposed to get one though.

Question for you experts. I tried to book a flight on Delta.com yesterday and I'm pretty sure I got offered a Gold card with $150 statement credit and 30K with 1000$ spend as I was about to purchase my ticket. I should've taken a screen shot (my mistake for sure). However my application was not instantly approved so I did not buy the ticket. Today I got an email from Amex saying it's approved and my card is on its way. Will I still get the $150 statement credit? I'm thinking no that I'll only get the current $50 one. What say you?

Btw, when did you last have this card? "Lifetime" actually means about 7 years to Amex, but I believe they've been issuing this card for much longer than that.
And finally, I'm not sure if the statement credit is considered part of the welcome bonus (that may be denied) or not. You should look into that too, in case it's possible to get the statement credit even if you can't get the miles.
