Also check Delta.com: Sometimes better offers might be available there.

The Amex referral page has a 60K offer for the Delta Personal card.

The following offers for up to 70K on personal and business:

There are several 60, 000 miles offers for the personal card with the first year annual fee waived the first year, valid through May 1, 2019. They are listed in this referral thread. These are way better than the current standard public offer of 30,000 miles shown on Delta's website

A post on Reddit suggests that you can find a 50K offer, but with a $100 credit, by doing a dummy booking on Delta.com.
The offer should appear before you have to pay for the flight. [Did [b]not work when I booked a flt today, 3/15/17.]

I’m a Platinum Medallion hitting first class upgrades at about a 10% rate this year. The elite glut due to infinite MQM rollover in 2020-21 is very real so unless you’re in a position to go for Diamond Medallion, the only realistic expectations until about 2024 or so for status are more redeemable miles on paid tickets and a decent hit rate on C+ upgrades.

I’m not saying don’t get the Reserve card, but the standard AmEx Platinum gives you the Delta lounge access plus the ability to transfer points to either Delta or Air France/KLM Flying Blue, which can offer significantly better Sky Team realm award ticket pricing even before you get to the occasional 25% transfer bonuses that seem to pop up for FB once or twice a year. And you can top off a FB account from Chase UR points as well.

Got you. So best to stick with a standard Chase/AMEX card vs going after specific airline cards

Gold Delta SkyMiles Amex card

When looking at buying a ticket on Delta, there’s an offer for the Gold Delta SkyMiles Amex card with 30,000 points and a $300 statement credit. Does anyone have a link for this offer or do you have to get it as part of buying a Delta ticket?

I got a promo email from DL for Amex cards:

Gold: 70K bonus SkyMiles with $2k+ spend within 1st 3 months
Platinum: 85K bonus SkyMiles with $3k+ spend within 1st 3 months

I've had the DL Amex card before, but it's been a few years, I think. Is there a rule that cardholders who have had the product within the past 36 months do not qualify for the bonus miles offer? (I know Chase cards have this limitation but can't recall about Amex cards. Also, I can't find this limitation in the T&Cs of this offer.)

The rule is that if you have ever held the same card you are ineligible for a bonus, but (a) in practice American Express does not look back more than seven years, and (b) the rule does not apply unless it is explicitly stated in the offer terms or displayed on the application page.
