AA is aware of the problem but I still haven't received my 500 milers 11 days after crossing 10k and 3 days after calling.
Thank you very much for this bit of information. I have the same problem - crossed the 31st. Will call AA today.

I completed my initial 10,000 plus miles on Feb 9. My upgrades have not posted. I contacted AA today and they said it was a known issue and they are working on fixing the problem. She said if I needed them anytime soon she could manually post them to my account. Otherwise they are thinking the problem will be fixed by the end of this month.

Is there any grace mileage anymore on the use of stickers. I am looking at MSP-MIA which is 1,501 miles. Will this really require 4 stickers?

I remember reading that they got rid of it since implementing free upgrades under 500 miles.

I crossed on the 31st as well. After being told by the agent who said it was based on flown miles, not EQMs, I spoke to a supervisor who also said there was an issue and I'd have them shortly.

Interestining - I have >10k miles based on EQM and my sticker counter reset, but less than 10k miles based on flown base miles. So because my sticker counter reset I'm pretty sure it is indeed based on EQM still.

On the other hand, my updates havent posted yet either.... ButI just crossed 10k yesterday

AA 500 mile upgrade bank/automatic useage

A few weeks ago the AAdvantage site said I needed 1,200 miles to obtain 500 mile upgrades. I put in those miles a week ago, but do not see any 500 mile upgrades in my bank. Now it says I need over 9,000 miles. I wonder if they get used at AA's discretion as I have never requested to use a 500 mile upgrade, but I have been upgraded to first a few times automatically. Usually on < 300 mile flights. Are they deducting them automatically when I get upgraded? Does it take more than a week for them to show up in your bank? Note that my 10,000 miles spanned over year-end. I achieved AA Gold late 2015. Could that have prevented the 4 from going into my bank regardless of what the web page said? The AAdvantage 500 mile upgrade display grid shows zeroes across the board.

It usually takes about 7-8 business days to reflect in your account. You should Se the new balance some time soon.

<500 miles is complimentary, it doesn't cost you a sticker.

The counter for stickers resets on New Year's, I think.

[ed.]Correction. It resets February 1st. https://www.aa.com/i18n/AAdvantage/e...desContent.jsp

Actually, from reading that page it seems like it will reset on Feb 1st if you earned the status after Jan 1 2016. Since the OP became Gold in Dec 2015, his counter should only be reset after Feb 29 this year.

Lots of bugs in posing of 500 milers reported since the end of January in the last page(s) of this thread:

My only update is that I crossed 20k EQM and got 4 for that but still haven't received the 4 I should have received for crossing 10k on Jan 30th.

  4. If we're both on the same flights (just in different classes), can I link our PNRs?
  5. And then, if I clear, is it possible to pull the stickers from his account (at check-in)?
I wanted to report back that yes, this is possible. Friendly, helpful check-in agent didn't find the request odd at all.
