Got to check out the FL lounge yesterday as a Plat member traveling J on my return from Europe...
I gotta say, I was actually very impressed. The food and drink offerings were both on point, in my opinion. Self-serve beer, wine and booze is great. And, the dishes I tried from the buffet were tasty: asian noodles, cold beef tenderloin, shrimp cocktail shooter.
I also took a shower in the self-serve shower rooms which was very nice, as well.
The lounge DID start to get pretty crowded by the time I left.
As someone else mentioned, the staff did seem a little overwhelmed with keeping the wine bar stocked and keeping clean silverware available.
Overall, it's definitely a step up from any domestic lounge I have been in.

When I was in there two weeks ago the lounge manager, Nick, who showed me around the FL Dining area told me that some of the food options from the FL Dining would be available for order in the main lounge. Seemed very definitive about it and that seems to be corroborated by other blogs that has visited and reported back (OMAAT).

I was in the FL last night. There were no obvious signs anywhere that the FL dining could be ordered in the main room (i.e. no menus), although I did not specifically ask for them as I was (a) not eligible for Dining and (b) was fine with the buffet offerings. Maybe this is something they intend to offer or are quietly doing for those who ask but there is certainly nothing that would indicate to people that this is an option.

Was in the lounge this morning before a JFK LAX flight. Had the chance to check out Flagship First dining at around 445am (I was first guest of the day)
Very nice space that is sharply laid out and the service was attentive and pleasant. I asked if they could make something from the all day menu as I wasn't interested in the breakfast options, and the chef was able to make the Lentil Cake for me which was delicious and well presented! Besides me, there was only 1 other guest there before I left around 530am
The FL is also very nice as mentioned by others, although I didn't spend much time there before my flight.
I think this is a very nice add for the AA premium experience and one that I would go out of my way to experience if given the opportunity of going through JFK, MIA, DFW, LAX, and LHR, particularly before an afternoon or evening departure where the dining could enable more time for sleep on the flight itself.
If anyone is interested in seeing some images, please PM me for my snapchat story

Yes - forgot to mention; no wifi at all for me in the lounge on Friday early evening (could connect to network but "no connection to the internet") - slightly problematic as I really needed to send a work email before flight to Paris...

WIRED internet in FL? AC?
The FL and regular AC (before "modernization" took place) each had computer terminals with WIRED internet. I've visited the FL a few times recently (before "official" opening date) and tried using my mini-ipad (with mediocre success)--have they restored wired terminals?

Gosh.....I haven't used a wired connection in years. Except of course at the IB lounges at MAD, where the WiFi is awful with those scratch-off cards in 30-minute intervals. Much rather use a wired connection there...

Just from the promotional pictures for the new Flagship Lounge (not Flagship First Dining), they seem to delivering a burger to the gentleman under the "Personalized service" heading..

That was what I thought but yesterday when I visited, the host in F dining said there's no such option available at the moment. And sure there wasn't any to be seen across the main FL area.

As promised, here are some pictures of the food/beverage spread at the JFK FL:
They were exactly the same on my two visits (once at 10pm, the other from 3 to 6pm.)
'Smart coke machine' that really has the hundreds of flavors you want:
Separate stations for coffee/tea and whiskey aficionados:
Mini-review of FL F Dining to follow.

Someone must have finally turned on the wifi because today I'm getting speeds of 50+Mbps.
The downside is that at 3pm it's already quite buzzing. Hate to see what it'll look like in few hours when the evening departures to Europe are in full swing. And by 3:30 it was at 80% capacity. Left and went over to the Admiral's Club for some peace and quiet.
