Tried the Bridge today for the first time. What an amazing oasis of calm! Went to Bobby Van's first. Actually ate there this time as opposed to getting take-out as I got to the airport too early(7:05pm departure is not the same as a 7:50pm departure). Then when checking into the FL the agent mentioned the Bridge as an alternative to the FL. I said why not. This is now my new JFK routine. Bobby Van's and then the Bridge. It's a whole new world.

Interesting that you were offered the Bridge. Not once in my 8-9 visits since it opened has that happened. From a purely selfish perspective I hope that's not a new routine!

Doesn't the Bridge offer the same burger as FFD? Could be a way to increase traffic and keep the buns fresh.

I was surprised as well. I fly almost weekly out of JFK and not once has it been mentioned. She referred to it as the Annex. And was totally selling it and the menu. She said if I didn't find anything on the buffet in the FL to my liking, I should try out the new menu at the Annex.

I apologize, but I'm unsure if this is the right thread to ask this on:
Q1) What is a reasonable connection time coming in on Etihad F EY103 (AUH-JFK) 8:30 am (currently J but likely availability will open up with in a few days to upgrade) for Jan 2019 to connect to outbound AA - I see AA departure of 10:55 am and 1:05 p (JFK-XXX-MSP). Would a 2.5 hour connection for 2 passengers with global entry be reasonable or should I take the later departures?
Q2)Access to flagship lounge etc? On an AA award on etihad connecting to AA would you have access if a)F/Z intl, J/U dom b) F/Z intl Y/T dom c) or if domestic milessaver availability doesn't open and I book anytime award as a separate PNR from JFK to MSP (connecting from the Etihad itinerary)

Since EY isn't oneworld you won't have any AA lounge access at JFK, doesn't matter what combination of classes the flights are.

You'll do immigration & customs preclearance at AUH, so your AUH-JFK flight will land as a domestic flight. 2.5 hrs will be plenty to connect over to T8 for your AA flight.

If the EY flight is coded as an AA flight, you’ll have lounge access. Otherwise not.

Actually, it seems AA uses it at the launch of an FL, then changes to Tat. It was at ORD, it was at JFK, reports that it was at MIA. Not at none from reports I've read. Pity to me, as I prefer it. For that matter, BA FL at LHR used to have it and no longer.

Folks, pardon but this portion of the Wikipost is a bit obscure:
As for "same day" - is access granted to redeye arrivals, which would have departed the previous day, with no onward flights?
nonstop transcontinental flight (JFK-LAX, JFK-SFO, MIA-LAX in either direction). No guests permitted. Access is also valid on a same-day itinerary that includes a qualifying transcontinental segment in Flagship First
What is meant by "either direction" - does it mean one-way passengers LAX-JFK have access on arrival? (If so, why is MIA-LAX listed as an example when it doesn't involve JFK at all?)As for "same day" - is access granted to redeye arrivals, which would have departed the previous day, with no onward flights?
