The bridge is another section of the lounge. When you go up the elevator and approach the check in desks. Typically they will direct you to the sliding doors on the left - go the opposite direction to the right of the check in desks then make a right turn and there is the bridge.
They usually open up the bridge during the evening TATL rush but you can access it anytime if you want.

It was the same for me there last week. I ordered one of the cocktails from the menu, but was told I had to go to the other side of the lounge for spirits. They had only a few different beers and wines.

I should add that after I posted and went to the main part of the lounge, the food and beverage situation looked pretty grim; buffet area was a mess, and the coolers of bottled/canned drinks were almost entirely empty. I grabbed the last seltzer (which unfortunately appears to have replaced the selection of Perrier/San Pelligrino and flavored seltzer). Water was entirely gone.

Before AA relaxed the FL access rules and updated the clubs, I found the JFK FL to be generally quite a tranquil place to relax before a flight. It was certainly not glitzy by any means, but I never minded that lounge. Now it seems you basically have to be in Flagship First Dining if you don't want to deal with the masses (and I'd say this applies to LAX and JFK... the ORD, MIA, and DFW FLs haven't been nearly as crowded when I've visited).

Here now and it's not so bad, but it's early on in the afternoon.....people are definitely starting to trickle in more. The staff seem to be on top of things. The food is all pretty good (minus the fruit flies) and the rose wine yummy. Oh and my UPG came through at T-4!

Also just adding that The Bridge staff is amazing.....Eric is the best and clearly lots of customers here know him. Just ordered the Korean beef tacos and they were small but pretty good.

The FL Dining hours state that dining closes at 10pm; anyone have experience with the dining staying open for CX845 at 1:30am?

Access to T8 the night before for a few hours?
Hi. I don't know if this is where this goes but I've read so many other posts and just haven't found the answers.
I'm a OW sapphire with BA. I'm arriving into JFK T8 from LHR at 820PM. I have a connecting domestic flight out of T8 again at 559AM. From what I understand, I'll have access to the Flagship lounge both after I arrive and before I depart on my morning connection (just barely if the 6AM rule still applies).
Arriving from LHR, I'll need to go through customs and immigration which then dumps me out landside. So my question is: will the TSA allow me back airside into T8 that night before my early morning flight assuming I have that boarding pass in hand? I know they eventually kick folks out after the last flight but it'd be nice to at least have a shower and dinner in the lounge instead of spending about 7 hrs at an airport dunkin donuts....
Thanks in advance for your help.

Probably no access back to airside on the evening of your arrival, but worth a try nevertheless. On another point, the before 6:00 AM rule wouldn't apply to you anyway since you are a non-AA OWS with BA, so you'd have access to the lounge regardless of an Int'l LH arrival.

In a similar situation last year I was allowed airside the night before a pre-6 am departure. I had been told by AA checkin agents that I wouldn't be able to but I tried anyway. The TSA checker agent put my boarding pass into the scanner and it cleared me through. I was also allowed into the FL the night before AND again before the early morning flight. YMMV

The amount of People in the lounges since they relaxed the rules is a joke....in just about every AA Club I go to ...bot Flagship and regular.... about 50 percent of the time I go out and find a seat at an empty gate....much more relaxing....
