That's what he said! Was news to me too.
I didnt ask ask about the wifi....I don't know why the FL is such a deadzone for not only wifi but cell service too. I have T-Mobile and Verizon and neither gets anything remotely decent, but as soon as I leave the lounge it's fine! One of the few places in the world to get away

After getting to hear all about some DYKWIA "moving and shaking" last time I was in the FL/IFCL, I sure hope it stays that way.
Not sure what was going on but for CX845 (130 AM) all pax (j/f/status) were being directed to the IFCL as the AC was closed and appeared to have some construction going on. Was too tired and forgot to ask what exactly was going.
That being said, I worry about how full the lounge will be when all international f/j flights are using it, not just a flight or two!

As for when everyone is allowed in, I bet it is going to be PACKED.

At the lounge now. It's a really nice looking space, and the wifi issue seems to have been resolved. Official reopening including dining is tomorrow at 11!

Just a note for everyone: the rules for Flagship Dining are different than the lounge access. You must be holding a First Class ticket for an American international flight (or connecting to one the same day) or a First Class ticket on an American 3-class transcon flight to get access.
International itineraries mean you get to bring a guest, transcon itineraries do not include a guest.
Status doesn't matter either way.
Now here are some pictures I took during a media preview. The food was superb and the cocktails were great too.

The email I got today seems to imply that I will get access to the Flahship Dining on any international itinerary due to my EXP--which always allows me into the Quantas First Class lounge @ LAX, which has the best food options in the US.
Some of the posts in this thread seem to say that status won't get me in....
I guess we will know as soon as someone tries it!
i don't fly throUgh JFK until August.
