SkyTeam777, did you manage to visit the lounge? Any indication of when/if it'll be closing? I'm due to travel through JFK in 2 weeks and have a long layover ahead!

Currently there now. Fully open and functional. I asked at checkin, and was told that there are no plans for the lounge to close during renovations.

Handy thread. Was going to ask the same thing as I've a 2-3hr layover after an overnight flight and was hoping for a shower at the very least.
Heard about the normal lounge having people out on the atrium bit so wasn't sure if the Flagship lounge also closed.

Hey guys, great thread. Sorry for the quick question here:
I'm flying LAX-JFK in J on the redeye, spending the day in NYC before going back to LAX in F later that day that evening. Once I land in JFK at 6am will I be able to hit up the lounge for a quick shower? And if so, will I be able to return to the lounge later that afternoon before I head back to LA?
Just not sure how to interpret that...

Yep, you can use the Admirals Club when you land at JFK to take a shower, and the Flagship Lounge before your flight home that evening. Technically you can use the FL in the morning too, as long as you have your boarding pass for your JFK-LAX flight in F that evening. However reports upthread indicate the showers by the FL are currently closed.

I think it's mentioned in the JFK Admirals Club thread actually. Most flights from LAX arrive at the outer terminal, so I'd stop by the AC there first for your shower on your way out.

JFK new Flagship lounge open. Today is the first full day. It is very large, as expected. The breakfast warm dishes are unchanged: oatmeal, scrambled eggs, bacon and potatoes. It is well lit and airy. A definite improvement. At least until the mobs arrive.

Yes I am in it now. Much more space. Food choices for dinner are similar. Today roasted turkey, spiced sweet potatoes, English peas, lamb chops, and lentil soup.
Do not see the claimed "Flagship Dining" yet but maybe that is to come in the future. However the lounge looks nice, feels very open, and has spaces that are more private and could be used for flagship dining for one. Takes the entire old business class lounge area so looks like the temporary area overlooking the terminal will become renovated into an official lounge for non flagship.

Where is the new JFK FL lounge? I was in the old JFK FL lounge on Monday Dec 5th. So I guess it opened on Wed Dec 7th.
I am guessing the new FL is where the old AC club was? Does this mean that the old JFK FL lounge will be remodeled as the new AC club?
I took a shower at the old FL on Monday - the showers are pretty bad. Are there new showers in the new FL lounge? Or still using the old ones? I hope not.
