I question our AL membership and lack of lounge options every time I go through IAD/BWI, but I'm just learning to find quiet places to hang out prior to my flight.

I got into the PDX AL around 11:30 AM on Sunday but I think that was only because they took the sign in to wipe it down so it was more clear to read that PP was not being accepted at that time. It was out front a short time later when I left.

Posts discussing the Alaska Lounges at SEA (and possibly elsewhere) leaving the Priority Pass program have been moved to their own, separate thread: AS Lounges in SEA Leaving Priority Pass (9/1/2018)

PDX Lounge: Sign was out around 4:45pm (as usual)...fully expect this lounge to make the official break with PP before the end of 2018.

With the other options in PDX, I'm slightly shocked it hasn't happened yet either. But I do appreciate it for those early morning arrivals ex-ANC when one can still gain entry.

That's about the only time you can really count on being admitted....right at or shortly after opening. I suspect that this is due to the lounge agents being busy with other opening duties that they don't have time to think about putting the sign out. When you think about all the time, thought, and energy that goes into moving the sign back and forth as well as swiping PP cards, you gotta think the agents are going to appreciate the extra 30-40 minutes of "free time" they're going to have once Sept. 1st gets here....

I will be interested to see if the sign is ever taken back in at any of the SEA lounges now. I felt like an idiot last week when I noticed the sign was facing the wall, so I went in. After about 15 minutes of waiting to check in because the 2 people in front of me were very slow, they told me no, the sign was out. I nicely told them it was facing the wall and they probably should go out and fix it as I left. She came out with me, and someone had already turned it back around, lol. At least I said it nicely to her, and was not pissy like a lot of people get, but I still felt like a moron. She was probably thinking, sure it was.

7/29/18 - Sunday night, 5:30 - 7:30 pm at N gate SEA, sign out the entire time. Spouse went in just to ask if they had any idea when they might be open again, lounge largely empty. Was hoping for one last round with PP before 9/1.

To any PP cardholder denied entry at the Alaska lounge at LAX, I have some consoling news for you: it’s not a very nice lounge. You didn’t miss out on much.

Sign out at 7:25 pm at lounge in D gates in SEA. To be fair, looked pretty busy, but sincerely doubt thy ever take the sign in.
