I hold CSR card since the inception. Does it make you feel better?

By default, since AMEX Plat card before the new benefit change, is one card per person for lounge access. How can the AMEX Plat cardholder bring in ANY guest if he is the only one allowed to enter?

Even with the new benefit, it is cardmember + 2 guests, versus unlimited.

The domestic lounges simply are not prepared for the onslaught of the massive CSR PPS members eager to take advantage of this benefit, not to mention the gallon bag style behavior.

Got into the LAX lounge at around 8:45 AM this (Saturday) morning. The lounge is much fuller than when I got denied the last couple times. Seems really random.

And as I said, I have seen regular club members with gallon bag behavior. I wasn't addressing the number of guests,I was addressing the fact that the post I quoted somehow thinks of CSR people as less scrupulous people. And I am sure the number of CSR people just grabbing strangers off the walkways and bringing them into the lounge is pretty miniscule.

Edit to add, I re-read that thread about the person with the gallon bag, there is nothing in that thread that I could see that says they were a CSR PPS person.

I got an email from Priority Pass this morning and they said that the issue with the PDX lounge not accepting Priority Pass "Select" beginning May 1st has been turned over to their Lounge Management Department for investigation. That department will then report to their official contact at the Alaska Lounge for "escalation purposes". One way or another, it sounds like the issue will be resolved soon (thankfully).

I have a flight coming up this weekend, hoping the sign won't be out so I can visit one last time with PP before the May 1st deadline....maybe we need to have an official get-together for Priority Pass FTers at the PDX Alaska Lounge before May 1st....everyone could take turns saying their favorite memory from the PDX Lounge and we could have t-shirts made that say "One Last Pancake at PDX"

4/17 11:30 am. D location. Sign out

4/17 11:40 am. N location Sign out. Went in and asked nicely if Mrs cblaisd and I could come in since we were flying in upgraded F and I am lowly MVP. Agent first said no, then immediately said wait a moment. She went and looked in the lounge , came back, asked her two colleagues if ok to take sign down since a bunch of folks just left. They agreed. Lounge probably 15-20% full

If you don't mind begging, it seems to be a fairly good strategy for getting into the lounges....my guess is that your success rate is going to be around 50%....when the SEA lounges eventually get around to banning PP "Select" like PDX, I don't think even begging will help.
