Since AC doesn't yet know the FIN they cannot consult the wiki to try to avoid giving you a deflating seat.

I tried to book an intra-Europe award on aeroplan.com, and was forced to call to finish ticketing. However, the wait time is ridiculous. I've been calling for the past hour plus. 90% of the time I get the automated message that my call can't be taken. 10% of the time I get the message from the male manager about the long wait time. I'm at the departure airport on airport wifi and my calls get dropped eventually. I've already missed the first award I tried to book so I booked a flight for later today, and need to call again. Is this only an issue for intra-Europe flights? And, has phone service plummeted in reliability only recently, or has it always been like this?

I had an issue logging in on the website (internal server error) and in the app (member not found!!!) last week. I finally go thru to Aeroplan call center a couple days ago.
Supposedly someone was trying to get access or hack my account so they temporarily suspended it. Agent unsuspended it and asked me to change my pw, which I did.
So you may want to consider that situation that I experienced.

Is aeroplan.com down for anyone else? I'm getting a notice from what I can only assume is their cdn that they are having a DNS failure.

It was down for a while as I was trying to book a flight yesterday but it worked fine on the app. Thought it was my work computer telling me to get off lol.
