This new annual thread has been carved out of the previous thread in an effort to reduce the number of megathreads on the AC forum. For those interested previous versions are the original 2004 - 2014 thread , 2015 edition, 2016 edition , 2017 edition, 2018 edition and 2019 edition.
The original thread started by accident but quickly became a popular place to come and discuss off topic things such as hockey, new movies, or almost anything that wouldn't fit into existing AC forum threads. Air Canada or Aeroplan topics such as flight feedback, in-flight services issues, status or mileage earning/redemption are all topics that should go into existing AC forum threads so others can benefit from this information. Topics about hotels or airlines and/or their loyalty programs, destinations, in-flight travel tech. or anything best discussed elsewhere on FT may be relocated to that forum as this thread isn't meant to import travel topics to this forum that are better discussed on other forums. FT is an amazingly diverse and large community so members are encouraged to seek out all of its resources.
While the conversation is more relaxed as it would be in a lounge that doesn't mean however that the FT rules don't apply here as they definitely do so please refrain from controversial topics such as politics or religion, avoid profanities and treat other lounge patrons with the same respect you expect.

On behalf of my son - Any of you IT folks looking for a recent (April) UoT Computer Science grad preferably in the GTA area ? Cybersecurity and Embedded preferred. He has one year Coop experience with a defense contractor so had to get security clearances for his Coop role. Normally this would be a easier job to find but it seems like everyone has all their open positions 'frozen' because of the pandemic situation.

Nothing like a 10am knock on the door from your downstairs neighbor to let you know their ceiling's leaking.
We couldn't see anything up here, so he called a plumber, who cut open his ceiling. Definitely coming from above.
They came up here, noticed some water under the fridge. We pulled it out, and the ice maker water line was spraying water out of what looks like a pin-prick hole in it.
I turned that off (and the coke fountain line - wasn't sure which was which), but now I need too get in touch with the owner to figure out how to proceed. I've lived here almost 4 years and I don't know his phone number, just his email.

Assume everything is a trick question. Go with your first instinct, and then pick the opposite.

As a Vancouverite I was well aware of the California roll, but not knowing about peanut butter shames me. That has been an essential food for decades!

My only surprise was the peanut butter! My son takes 6 jars with him when he goes to school because he doesn't like the American versions.
My pet peeve when travelling to the US is "Canadian bacon"! Canadian bacon is the same as US bacon! Those little round ham slices are not a Canadian thing!
..... (does 2 minutes of "research")
Nevermind - Canadian bacon is back bacon or peameal bacon, and it was "Invented" in Canada. Who knew

I would've only gotten Zamboni, Hawaiian Pizza, and California Roll.
