How dare they discriminate against me just because I used credit card welcome bonuses to redeem for business a class ticket ! They also alienate their most loyal clients who redeem for J seats using miles accumulated from frequent butt-in-seat activity
Are people who are flying on Air Canada business class award tickets so prevalent to the point of justifying this exception ? or is it Air Canada's way of nurturing a culture of arrogance, snobbishness and stuffiness ?

this is going to be awesome for flights to Europe, or the late night ones to South America. instead of eating dry pasta or faux indian in the MLL, you can have a decent meal and a cocktail or 4 before the flight. hopefully, this will also mean a truncated dinner service in the air, assuming many J pax will eat before departure.

Say you have J28 and 15 of them get into and dine in the lounge, now only 13 people to feed at the start of the flight. Better choice and faster service

not really. there are a whole buncha people flying $800 europe-yyz-sfo j fares that get access. also, there are always ways around rules... which is good as most of the general public get filtered out
