Gotta say, I'm looking forward to my next TATL out of YYZ in early Jan a little more now. A positive change for once.
Might eat there and forego the J dining... Better beer list for once, too. (Though that is not to say it's a good one... just better than before.)
I'm not bothered by the entry requirements; basically what was expected.

It specifically mentions Aeroplan award redemptions and Star Alliance upgrades, but no mention of award redemptions from other Star Carriers. I wonder if that means someone who wins the lottery and is able to redeem an international J flight using say United miles will get access to the lounge. (Hopefully not).

What I don't like BTW is the "no guests" policy. Which excludes my wife on a reward.

Eup and I exclusion sucks
Its even more restrictive than Polaris... guess I will just be salivating against the pic for now.
Maybe they will open it up for those using the miles and eup points in the future if its pretty empty
I am not exactly cheesed, I only see myself flying revenue J on TPAC back to China , and that will be more likely on AA or China Southern.
This lounge will justify an extra $2K premium any more than without it.

Don’t some Lat fares upgrade into P space? Or that that just within NA. Just wondering if that’s a way in. Does look very nice - though as Lucky points out that’s with 24 vs 90-150 pax.

Latitude is often more expensive than P so I am not sure if you are better off buying Lowest J outright

While they are upgradeable if there is P availability, I believe they end up in R too. If you look at your itinerary, you'll see it says "business R."

No idea what’s available in J that said, I suspect not much tomorrow given J is selling as $5500

You are right, I think its because I book much further ahead and most times Latitude is cheaper than lowest J

I guess I can start commenting in this thread again
I'm not a big fan of how restrictive the access policies are, and I told that to the AC guys who were there in no uncertain terms. Their response was that they are starting out with very restrictive access policies, but that's in part to allow them to monitor the occupancy rate, and also how the service & response times are impacted by certain occupancy levels. Based on how that evaluation goes, they said they would revisit and possibly extend the access policies over time.
I don't imagine that the lounge will ever be available to an E50K traveling in Y .... but for people who have "paid" for business class seats using award miles - yes, I could see that being a possibility.

The AC guys who were there, told me that they had seen(*) my (at the time, totally speculative) post, and that they were laughing in the office at how close my guesses had been
So ... yes, the furnishings in the lounge are great, and there's lots of artwork around, and there is an a-la-carte menu, and the food is by David Hawksworth, and it is very good, and there is a decent wine selection, and it's reasonable but not earth-shaking, and I really did enjoy the dessert ....
Some guesses work out
----
(*) Yes, AC still reads FT, even if they don't post here anymore. Oh, and "hi guys"

I would think the answer is no. Do I get LH FCT access if I buy a LH Codeshare F ticket operated by UA? FCL yes, FCT? I believe the answer is no
