Important changes to the Aeroplan program (2015)

Actually what I was refering to is something different. Let me rephrase. If I make a booking right before the mileage level change, on Dec 14 2015, for a departure date Dec 12 2016 and return date Dec 13 2016 assuming AP has these flights released and available (as a place holder because I don't know my exact dates yet and want to leave as much flexibility as possible). I know they normally allow me to make change to my reservation one day before my flight date, for a fee of 90$. My question is, assuming I do make that change, on Dec 11 2016, will AP allow me to extend both the departure and return by another year, to Dec 2017? Not sure if this is clearer.
The *maximum* duration of your ticket can be exactly 1 year from the first flown flight. So in your example, this would not quite work that way: the right way to make it work is as follows:
* Dec 14, 2015: book travel for Dec 1, 2016 first flight, Dec 10, 2016 throwaway flight (but be careful... not many airlines release space that far ahead, so you need to make sure you actually have availability!)
* Leave your ticket in a drawer for a year.
* Fly the Dec 1, 2016 flight on that day, in a year from now.
* On landing, immediately call Aeroplan and reschedule the rest of the trip to end on Dec 1, 2017 or before (ENTIRE trip must be complete within 1 year of departure (maybe arrival) of the first flight).
* Find a way to get home by yourself from wherever flight #1 took you, hopefully not too far.

Nope - there's no way to push the departure. It *must* happen within 365 days of ticketing, so if ticketing is Dec 14 at 23:59, then before that time in 2016.

Given credit cards are generating fewer miles than anticipated in AE/AIMIA's last quarter, where will the miles come from for the humungous increases slated for next month? The company's position will further erode as awards become less attractive and more expensive. This is a downward spiral for sure. Changing cc partners was a big mistake and hasn't generated as many new accounts and activity for TD, and thus benefiting AE/AIMIA. Is there any attraction to this program even as a consumer spend/loyalty program?

Neither can I and I am a long term SE and AC MM member. I assume these are the new rules and so called benefits for 2016 but AC/AE have not had the courtesy of informing me nor can I find this info on their websites.
Go figure. Just another reason to drop my SE status next year. I am totally fed up with it all.

Given the prices charged by Asia Miles for their own members (HKG-HND in F is 40k one way and 70k roundtrip), AS and AA's award charts are extremely ripe for a devaluation. I don't expect those to last long either, especially if Asia Miles goes through their own further devaluation as expected.
US-Asia 2 (HKG) J and F from 110 and 135k RT to 140k and 220k
Canada-Asia 2 J and F from 110 and 135k RT to 150k and 225k
Basically matches Aeroplan's rate for TPAC
Intra Asia 2 rates untouched, so much better than Aeroplan's Asia rates (45k intra Asia 2, 60k to Japan in J, or 62.5 intra Asia 2 and 80k in F to Japan)

NA-Europe 60/100/125 RT to 60/105/170 (!) RT.... jesus lord. Canada-Asia 2 is obviously a worse devaluation, but I mainly use NA-Europe and this hurts. Went from same as AE for F to 30k more.

Was checking out the new chart and it shows Asia 2 to Asia 2 will cost 20K rt. I tried to find flights from SIN to REP on SQ for Mar 16-21 next year when I visit Sin but it is not showing on aeroplan.com. ( Hoping to do a side trip from Sin).
Do I need to call in on this one or is there a glitch in the system? Date I hoping to get Mar 16-21. Any help will be most appreciated. Will be first time using my aeroplan miles.
