YYZ-YUL-ZRH-SIN-PER-JNB-GRU-YYZ would be the bones of the trip. There's still quite a lot of room to play with.

You could also leverage the new AKL-EZE route operated by NZ to do something like YYZ-BRU-CAI-IST-SIN-PER-AKL-EZE-YYZ, though I've yet to see any availability on AKL-EZE.
If you evet find any availability at all from per to akl or akl to eze then buy a lottery ticket!

That last one would be nice if there was ever availability on AKL-EZE.

Are most agents willing to give out the MPM between city pairs these days, or YMMV?

You'll need yellow fever vaccination if you fly Brazil to South Africa. Check rules going in the other direction too

Thanks for the heads-up crimsona.

I called in and asked about NYC-PER as well. It's 18,633. So we can do a bit better...

NYC-BOG-MAD-ZRH-JNB-PER

Or you could even squeeze in FOUR transoceanic flights...

NYC-LIS-GIG-GRU-JNB-PER

Plenty of room to hug the coast of Brazil on GOL as well on that one...

If you wanted to fly across the pacific, you could make it as far west as DXB before turning back east and going to Perth.

Anyway, just putting some ideas out there. Can anyone find even crazier routings?

YVR-ORD-IST-ZRH was a bookable option but opted out due to inlaws fear of Turkey

I added Tokyo - Nice to the Wiki (on top of the Tokyo - Frankfurt that I added before). The MPM is INSANELY generous. You can hop around Europe like a boomerang before getting to your destination.

Here's what I did in Feb of last year:

yyz-iad
iad-pty
pty-bsb (stop)
bsb-gru
gru-jnb (stop)
jnb-per (p.o.t.)
per-sin
sin-icn
icn-lax
lax-yyz

J 160000
438$ taxes

If you got creative you could include EZE and CPT as well. I couldn't with my travel dates but its possible

And I wish I knew about Crimsona's warning about needing yellow-fever vax. It would've saved me from having to do an overnight run from GRU-SCL-GRU in order to dodge the requirement and be able to fly to JNB !

Added JFK-SYD 15965 (q) and JFK-MEL 16669 (q). My proposed itinerary was 125 (!!!!!) miles short of allowable for SYD, but suddenly changing to MEL as destination made it bookable. Funny enough changing destination from SYD to MEL only results in a difference of 5 flown miles according to routing... rep first told me changing to MEL wouldn't help since MEL is "farther away" but after pushing for him to check I think I heard a "wow" that ended his lecture about how stopping in Europe and Asia makes no sense enroute to Australia.

Now I get 600 miles I can play with

What is your route from JFK to MEL?

I'm researching a trip from YHZ-BNE/SYD/MEL through SE Asia for next year.
