quick question. The single "throne" seats are reserved for AC's frequent flyer elite right? Do they release them to other J passengers at any point?

It used to be for p25k and up. Reports indicate this has changed

If you are on a long or overnight flight, don't take the single seat. Take a seat with the open side in the centre seats of the plane. Way more room for your legs/feet.

I have tried both on the YVR - YYZ red eye and I prefer the throne (doing it again next week).
Having someone beside me making noise prevents me from sleeping more than the slightly tighter footwell. Still netter than the stupid tray table on the 787.
I am 5'10 though, it might be worse for those not vertically challenged.

Yes, I'm 6'3"(size 46 shoes) and the single seat leg/feet room is bad.

I'm on lhr-yvr and as it's a dayflight, I'm not too concerned with the footwell. Privacy is more important to me. I'm 6'4 though so not expecting much either way.

Seriously, the single throne seat on the 777HD is reserved only for AC elites?!?

Did the 777HD in J. Took the 1H/K combo with le wife.

The seat is fine, but it is annoying to not be able to get out during meal service (I tend to finish eating quickly, and getting ready for bed/waking up right after main course).

1H/K also had HUGE leg room (absolutely no coffin, could fit a full size luggage there), but it was slightly tight in terms of overall length (I fit in just right, but I can see a problem if I was taller.

The seat itself felt a bit hard to sleep on, but more than adequate for sitting down.

Overall, meh, pretty good for daytime flights and such.

Still glad they are switching it to the 787 product.

So my assessment of the AC J seats.

Studio Pods (777HD non-throne): Great amount of space, excellent with a partner, but difficult to move and sub-par sleeping.
Classic Pods (333/763/777): Best pods for sleeping. Good sleeping clearance, and functional (easy in and outs).
Executive Pods (787): Excellent privacy and functionality. Above par IFE. Very comfortable seat. But sub-par sleeping clearance (especially "knee" space for moving (table) and shoulder room (depending how you sleep).

Walked down the back of the 777HD today going LHR-YVR - wow that's some cramped seating. Much as I don't like the coffin seats in J...

Jan 12 137 -> 156?

Can someone advise if they know with certainty at this moment (understanding that it may change in the next 24 hours) that for January 12, 2016, 137 turns around and becomes 156? I know this is true most of the time, but once in awhile I notice 855 or another HD from elsewhere become 156...

Huh I thought AC 8 became 156. Or does it go to LHR?

It was at a point, but I think since the start of the refurbs they just let anyone take the thrones... at least that is the anecdotal evidence here... and from what I've seen so far.

I fly the beast two times today. Yay me.

I don't know, but I can confirm that tonight 137 is indeed 156 at C44.

It had been going to London, but now goes out as 156.
