It's all about the one-time sample size for all of us!

They should get back to us after 20 more long haul flights on the HD.
If you book me 19 more flights on it, I can give a better approximation!! ^

Which day are you flying 156 in J? I'll book that too just so that I can point and laugh at you the entire flight. Don't worry, schadenfreude overpowers any pain I feel in Big Bertha J.

Actually, I can think of 3 additional reasons why you want to be on that flight.

But I can't post it on FT.

And I can't sent you a PM.

And I can't email you.

So you will never know.

Sumimasen.

Nomad is old school, smoke signals or carrier pigeons.

What is the current policy regarding preferred seats in J? At some point it was "any revenue pax", later it was limited to status pax IIRC, but I haven't paid too much attention to this subpar product.

Oh who cares - bye bye 77HD J seats! Good riddance.

The day after.

Don't get me wrong, I was tired in SFO Tuesday night, but all it took was a good sleep.

Just flew YVR to LHR in the J HD seats. It felt like a market. Crowded and not much refined service.

"When I was your age...", I did transcon redeyes all the time in UA E+ or Y without problems. Now, I can only do it sparingly. As for TATL redeyes (which are also mostly longer than transcon redyes), once I land, I check-in at the hotel and the sleep several hours even if I slept "well" in my pod.

I also use a canary as my CO detector (the gas, not the former airline).

TATL red-eyes are almost worse for me. They're just long enough that I can't really sleep any more, but not nearly long enough to get enough sleep

This thing keeps popping up as the equipment type on flights I'm considering from LHR to YVR, in Y. Which raises two questions..

a) Should I pick the 787 rotation instead?
b) I flew to LAX a few months back on Air New Zealand's 777-300 which is also configured 3-4-3 in Y. I see much the same complaints about that but frankly it was alright. Is the AC config worse?

That would kill me.

I hardly sleep on a plane, pod or not. When I land in Europe, I stay awake all day, push myself to stay up until 21:00 or 22:00 then get a good night sleep and avoid jet-lag.

And I'm guessing we're probably similar in age.

Why not LON-YOW/YYC-YVR, which uses the 763 on the TATL component?

^ although I'd want to avoid CO and much as I'd want to avoid CO.
