Correct me if I am wrong, United changed their interface for the calendar view. I am just guessing that it's a "saver" award due to its lower mileage requirement (99k).

Sorry, I guess they did change it. But I think it's now even easier to get an idea of what should be bookable with Aegean, since the award ticket class is now also indicated, where available! Look for that I next to business class! Is it there, does it look like that for your route and dates with the US-TYO-BKK route?
Note that there are award tickets with the same price but not the "saver", X or I indication, which probably won't be available on Aegean's website.

I am trying to book an Award round trip ticket for BRU<-> IAD or BRU<->TPA for July 2022. I do understand this is a super busy period and finding award tickets is unlikely (based on a couple of searches I did on the Aegean M&B site). Is there any other way to check other flight options at nearby airports (for e.g. I can also do DUS <-> IAD or DUS <-> TPA. Booking class does not matter i.e. I have enough award miles for both business or economy. Thanks

My assumption would be, that Frankfurt should turn up a couple of options (it's that much further away than Düsseldorf).

You might be able to do the sushi run now. Ex-LHR there are F flights to TYO. On short notice ANA F is available especially with these routes that get and lose F. You might just have the issue of United polluting the list and ANA being too low. If you want to fly soon.

The schedule has been released. NH is might low on the route you are looking at so it doesn't show up. I recently looked at EU-TYO-US and NH showed up during the usual days. There just wasn't any availability.

I can find availability on the A3 website redemption tool for SFO <> SIN and SIN < > BLR individually when I need to book an SFO < > BLR one way.

Call in and pay, make sure you have the itinerary you want. But regardless its an end to end flight which means no stopovers unless its a forced one due to the flight operations. You can book 2 one ways, SFO to SIN and another one way from SIN to BLR
