pre-marriage passport had to be returned before requesing a new one, that's the problem
our return flight is with BA, they did the change after sending them documents via email within a day or so

I checked the availability of 777 aircrafts in the LAX-HND leg and found some in October, but due to a schedule change the connection time for the LHR flight would be unreasonably long (some 16 hours). Then I did call ANA, but they said that there is nothing they can do, that I should sort it out with Aegean. They also checked other departing flights from the US with a 777 and there were some from ORD and JFK, but no award availability in F for the whole month of April 2022. I sent a contact request (as instructed in the cancellation email) to Aegean but haven't got a reply yet. I know I should probably call them, but I thought of giving them a couple of days before I do so. I will let you know how this story ends.

And I did use the A3 award search engine to make the original booking (and check for F availability later this year). There may be an easier way to do that, but I am not aware of such tool. And being a bit old school, I sure cannot code a bot or harness AI to do the job for me
Well, just to let you know, Aegean replied me and told that there is only Economy class availability on ANA from LAX to HND that day. They said they can downgrade me there but no points would be refunded. As all ANA HND-LHR flights seem to be cancelled anyway for the foreseeable future due to Russia's recklessness, I decided to cancel the whole trip.

The airlines generally will not change names even a marriage change, so the necessity for the dual sets of documents.
Another suggestion would have been to not be so quick on the draw at changing the name on the passport - particularly when the (honeymoon?) trip was booked with the "old" name for such an imminent departure. (She has the rest of her life to update her ID!!)

Congrats to you both and hoping for a satisfactory resolution!

In the USA, the old passport (with a punch hole, noting it has been replaced) is returned with the new passport
Many need the old passports back for access to unexpired multi-year visas

I just go to think that with the new routings of the Europe-Japan flights, a Sushi redemption now is something like 28 hours in the air.

I've notice that, since last system rebooting from A3, air india does not exist anymore on searching,
Call center only, can view and book all flights with them.

I am trying to change my award flights via aegean .com. to another time the same day, everything goes fine but when i choose an option doesn't leave me proceed and the 15079 - 421 error appears.
From the call center they told me that they are unable t see any of the flights that I am seeing in my screen. How is that possible.
is anyone familiar with this issue?

The sushi run for now is dead as ANA does not fly F from the west coast that can connect to Europe.

It usually does. But will depend on the operating airline at the end of the day.

An award ticket should be categorized as a full fare ticket. Not basic economy or basic business. So it should include bags and allow for extra allowance from "G

The application is the same. It is a single ticket. Which should have all the feature of a non basic ticket. Any changes go through A3 so you are beholdent to their fees. The airline on the other side side just see you as a 3rd party booking. They most likely get paid less but you are like a 3rd party booking.

If it's a ticket for a United Airlines flight, then you won't be able to check a bag for free, so it doesn't always work that way. The good thing is, that a Miles&Bonus award ticket with United doesn't give you their cheapest ("basic") equivalent of a fare either, so at least you don't get charged for more stuff, like carry-on or whatever.
